Breastfeeding and Femara (letrazole)?

I will try to keep this from getting too confusing, but I need opinions/information regarding a few issues.

DD is 24 months old. I had problems conceiving her and needed fertility treatments. My cycles returned at 14 months pp and I was surprised to conceive naturally in October. I m/c at 7.5 weeks and then had a chemical pregnancy in February. We are ready to start fertility treatments again. DH and I want another baby and I have not ovulated since March. We went to a reproductive endocrinologist and had a full panel of testing. He recommends that we begin with 2-4 monitored Femera cycles before moving to injectables. I know that I can't use Gonal-F or Follistim while BF, but what about Femara? The RE recommends that we wean DD because he feels that BF increases my risk of m/c, but he said nothing about the compatibility of Femara and breastfeeding. We are gently weaning DD right now. She nurses for a few minutes at naptime and bedtime (maybe 15 minutes a day?) She is fairly attached to these nursing sessions, despite their brevity. I want to hold off on fully weaning as long as possible. Also, any insights into the idea that BF can cause m/c? I'm not blaming myself for my losses, but our doctor was fairly emphatic that we cease BF if we want to maximize our chances of carrying a pregnancy to term. (I know lots of moms breastfeed and have healthy pregnancies and he acknowledges this, but still feels my risks are increased do to IF.)

Thomas Hale gives Femara an L4 rating and lists concerns as "none reported via milk, but this agent is probably too hazardous to use in a breastfeeding woman." It has a pretty long half-life too of 48 hours. He is referring to Femara as it is used to treat estrogen positive breast cancer.

Thank you, LittleLegos.

Anyone else with any insights? Anyone been through infertility treatments with a nursling?

Looks like it's time to wean if we have any hope of conceiving a sibling for DD in the nearer future
