Someone tell me to breathe

I just went to use the bathroom and there was a bit of brown when I wiped...

With DS I had a bleeding episode (later guessed to be him implanting on a blood vessel) and it freaked me out so bad.

Remind me that a bit of "blood" is nothing to worry about? Please?

I'm about 10 weeks along. When the MW tried to get a fetal heartbeat last week she couldn't, but said the fact that we could hear the placental heartbeat was a really good sign.

Now I'm getting phantom aches in my tummy...

Have you DTD recently? If so, it could possibly just be from that. Try to take it easy and rest and hopefully everything will be fine.

I had a LOT of bleeding around 10/11 weeks with my first son, and he is now 2 and had an otherwise completely uncomplicated pregnancy. With this pregnancy I had some bleeding around 8 weeks, everything is completely fine at 22 weeks. *hugs*

No, we haven't. We've both been too tired to even try.

Brown is good. Brown means old blood. Repeat, OLD blood. As in no new bleeding. As in, whereever it came from has healed up a bit. The other good thing? It's not enough to get on your panties. VERY good. That means there's very little coming out from the now healed up place.

Is there any way you can get an u/s?

have you been on your feet/particularly active?

I did a lot more than I should have the week before my wedding and ended up bleeding some (at 26 weeks! I even lost my plug...) but it all turned out to just be due to the physical stress I had placed on myself (which I honestly did not think was much but it was more than my body wanted I guess)

No...I'd have to get the MW to write a script and then go through the military base (we're Air Force) It's a lot of crap to go through.

Thanks everyone. I feel a bit better.

Oh, Kas.

Just listen to the nice ladies who already have babies that are telling you not to worry. Just try to stay calm, drink some water, and rest. Easy said than done with your DS to look after but do your best.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's something completely benign (which I'm sure it is). Keep us updated!

Thanks. It probably is just nothing. I did spend an hour cleaning house today...

I have mixed feelings. I've been way more emotional during this pregnancy (because 2 takes a huge toll)

At 9 weeks 2 days, I got up from a nap and went to the bathroom only to find a blood clot in the toilet. It was probably quarter to half dollar sized. The next day for about half of the day I had some brown blood when I wiped. I went to the doctor and had an us and the heartbeat was seen easily. I had no further bleeding with that pregnancy and he is now an active 2 year old.

Can you get your MW to try the doppler again? I don't want to scare you, but I had a missed m/c and one of the first signs was at 10w, I had a tidge of brown on the TP. I was on pelvic rest, so I know we didn't DTD. I would get into your MW just to calm your fears, chances are it's not anything, but a stressed mama is not good either. ((((hugs))))

It hasn't happened again...I'll call her this evening and see about going in (we're going to be in the area on Saturday so we were going to try to swing by anyway)

I hope everything is okay. I know how unsettling that can be. Like others have said, brown = good. Bright red is what you want to look out for. I really hope you can get some answers soon and that everything is okay with you and your little baby.

I've bled like that in both my pregnancies. It's very scary, but it also very common in otherwise healthy pregnancies. Very, VERY common. I would try to relax as much as you can, and try again with the doppler soon.

I hope you can find some peace between now and your appointment. I'll be thinking of you!
