I'm tutoring a 10 YO with learning differences (and he's not as mature as his classmates). He has great trouble with handwriting and needs to learn to touch type. He liked the free online program from BBC (Dance Mat Typing) with the cute and silly graphics, but he does not have the internet at home. His parents want to buy some kids' typing software. Suggestions? He needs video-game-like format or silly graphics to keep his interest.
Has anyone tried the Almena Typing method, where she teaches all the letters in one lesson? I'm wondering if that works, because if it does, it's probably better than months of drills, no matter how fun the format.
Thanks for your input.
