Sorry if this is jumbled. Both my kids are night owls. I used to be. It doesn't work well. DS, 8, is SO freaking energetic in the evenings. DD, 1, feeds off his energy and gets hyper too.

DD still sleeps with me. She sleeps VERY poorly lately. The first few hours (generally, she does not sleep until 10 or 11pm) she wakes frequently, want the boob, turns away, crys, turns back to the boob, and on and on and on and on. Until about 2-3 in the morning. Then she sleeps through until about 6am, when she wakes to nurse. Then she sleeps until about 8am, when she nurses again, then sleeps until about 9:30am.

She takes one nap a day, about 1-2 hours.

DP sleeps in another room. He doesn't help with nighttime parenting, because he works hard psyically and by the end of the night, he's useless.

Any advice? Thanks. I'm starting to feel irritated about DD's lack of good sleep habits, so I know I need to get it figured out.

Oh, all this happens after having to deal with DS being hyper and wanting attention and talking my ear off for about an hour. Good gosh I need a freaking break already. Help.
