Need tips/encouragement

When I got pregnant, we backed off EC because I was sooo sick. Now that I'm in the 2nd trimester, I have been trying to get back into it. Before we backed off, DS was in underwear most of the time and was dry most of the time. NO poops in his pants. Now EVERYTHING goes in the diapers. UGH! It makes me sick how bad it is! I know I did what was best for us by backing off, but I hate that I had to do that to him.

I switched to a seat on the big toilet, he used to use a small potty but is now way taller and it's hard for him to sit right on a potty. He likes to sit up there but we haven't had many catches lately. It's been over 2 weeks now since he's actually gone while on the toilet. He does the sign all the time but he'll just sit up there! I will wait and let him stay there until he wants down, but he still won't go! Then 5 minutes later he'll poop in his diaper.

We moved 2 weeks ago, and now over the next 2 weeks we will be traveling a lot. So after that, should I try diaper free again? I know he can do this, he just is confused because I had to go and mess it all up...

You can start all over. A new start with any other gol that improve the communication with your little one. I'llprobably get a new potty seat, brings toys & toys. Be talktative in each miss..."look you just pee" and change him inmediatly without stress or guilt. Offer the potty after a pee misses. If you see he is pooping offer him to finish on the potty.

Michelle, don't worry about it! You guys are doing fine, and yes you can start again when you get settled. He might have done a potty strike during that time anyway, you never know! He'll be fine. Congratulations, too!
