DS is almost one (yay!) and is just about as active a little boy as he could be. We started doing EC when he was 3 months or so and have put in some effort but certainly are not as consistent as we could be. We had some success back when he was 6-8 months with peeing and even pooping in the potty but for the last 3-4 months he's hated the potty so I let it go for a while. We started up again and I try distraction with books, toys, even tried BFing him once (haha). It's gotten so that he'll sit on the potty for up to a minute while I read to him but he has no interest in going. He mostly poops overnight/early in the morning so I never get a poop on the potty anymore but I'd like to continue trying. Lost cause? Any advice, words of support? Thanks!

when my ds was that age, I just stuck him on the potty whenever he was naked (changing diaper/clothes/before bath/when he took his clothes off)
I also used the potty as a 'chair', for example I'd set up his little piano thing and put the potty in front, so if he wanted to play the piano, he would sit on the potty. Or I had it in front of our pet rat cage, and he could sit on it while he watched them.
Other than those times, I never had him sit for more than 10-15 seconds at a time, a full minute would feel like a looong time for a 1yr old! If he didnt go, we try again a few min later.
usually he wouldnt notice that he 'went' so I would point it out to him and sing a silly song and clap and stuff. If he didnt go, I didnt say anything at all.
He got the idea pretty quick and was done with diapers day and night by 17months (we started EC at 7months when he could sit up on his own)
