i moved lebanon(middle east) a month ago, it was prefect at first, i share a room with my sister in law and my 2 kids, ages almost 4yrs old and almost 2yrs old, she had 2 twin beds in her room, so we pushed them together so both kids could sleep in bed with me since that is how it has been since my oldest was born, i live my family bed. so it was her, mahmoud, kareem, and me in the bed. hubs is going to be moving here very soon, so it would be the 4of us in bed again.

well a month went by with the bed like this, then my mother in law starts complaining that she doesnt like the beds like this cause she cant put the cover on the bed and make the room look nice, and i go shut the door and u wont have to see it, and she goes no, we r moving the beds. she goes put mahmoud my 4yr on the floor and kareem my 2yr old in bed with u, and i said no mahmoud didnt make the choice on his own u r making it.

so needless to say my beds r apart, and i now have 2 kids sleeping in my twin size bed, cause mahmoud refuses to sleep on the floor, he wants to sleep with momma.

then i hear well this kid sleeps in his own room, since he was this age, it is better for the kids u need to move him on the floor, both kids need to be on the floor.

why cant people just understand ME and the kids and hubs acually like sleeping next to each other. we like our family bed. it was choice we made when our oldest was born that we could share our bed with him, then when our sec was born we made the choice to put him in our bed.

how do i sleep comfy in a twin size bed with 2 kids?

Move the bed back. I know that there are huge cultural differences, but in My familly the Parents of the little ones make the decisions, not the grandparents. Hang in there, and hope your hubby is with you soon!

You could all sleep on the floor.
I know in some cultures even little things like this can become a huge issue so I'd leave the beds as they are.

i cant just move the beds back they r really not the easy to move it took 3 people just to move them apart

as for sleeping on the floor there is no room on the floor for 3 people to sleep only walking space, really the rooms r really small

Is there a lightweight table or other piece of furniture that you can move over next to the bed at night, for your feet? Then you & the kids can sleep horizontally on the bed, with your feet resting on the table. If, the 4yo fits without hanging off the edges, it could be a very temporary solution. Maybe when your husband gets there he can help you move the bed back to make the family bed again.
