Diagnose my child

Noah has this rash around his mouth after he eats. It doesn't show up immediately. I didn't always show up every time. Now it's there almost constantly, from breakfast until bedtime. This morning it's better. I took some pics last night to send my friend, but the only camera I currently have is my cell phone camera, so they are kinda blurry and not the best quality. He has been waking up a lot at night, crying, sometimes screaming and nothing I can do helps. I can tell he's in pain, seems to be his stomach/abdominal area. Sometimes he passes gas, but not always. His during the day poop is normalish, it's always been soft. There have been a few nights lately he has had completely liquid diarrhea. The first time was odd. His whole butt was light red, so I got some cream to put on it and by the time I had put the diaper in a bag (I couldn't even close it, that's how liquidy it was) and put it in the trash the red was gone. My friend said she thought that meant the poop was very acidic. I have two things that I am thinking, but want to know what you think.

Here is a new pic. 12 hours after the first ones. No food or drink since. What usually happens is he eats and it gets worse after each meal. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2...f200386942.jpg

Does he eat lots of fruit, more berries lately maybe? Sounds like salicylates sensitivity is a possibility, perhaps coupled with low magnesium (low mag is often a cause of sals sensitivity). You might try giving him some oral magnesium (any form other than oxide, which isn't well absorbed). I do 250mg a day for my 3yo, just for an idea of quantity. If that's the culprit, you'd see improvement within a few days.

Not a lot of fruit, no. Mostly bananas, grapes, and apples.

Grapes are high sals I believe.

Haven't had grapes since Monday. Would it have still been that bad last night?

Keep a food journal. If it's all the time, it's more likely a common food (like dairy, gluten, soy, or corn). If it's random, then it's a less common food or a bucket reaction like salicylates. If you're going to do a food journal, write down ALL symptoms (sleep, rash, poop, screaming, etc.).
