Biggest and best in terms of agency?

Can anyone PM or post some of the largest/most well known domestic agencies? Some of the oldest or most reputable?

Dh and I have decided to 'branch out' and work outside of our current agency. but, based on our experience are a bit nervous about going with someone new (in addition to our current place). How do we know what they claim is true? How do we know they won't take our money and run or close down?

I am in a very negative place right now and sick and tired of waiting. I feel like I need to DO something, but I want to make sure I do it well and do not make a choice out of frustration and desperation, you know?

We didn't get any responses (though we got our baby less than two months after placing the profile online.) However, I "know" some folks from the forums at adoption.com that got matched that way. I really liked that I could put a link into all our networking that directed people to our online profile. A 3 line classified ad doesn't say much, but our profile sure did.
