corn-only cornbread?

So, making the switch to GF here...feeling kinda lost and overwhelmed... We're broke atm so it's going to take me a few weeks to start accumulating alternative flours and things, so right now I'm trying to get started by making things that simply don't have flour in them...
One of the first things that occurred to me was that corn is GF...and I started to wonder if there's a cornbread recipe out there that is made with *just* cornmeal (no other flours). I searched the forum here and didn't see any, and I'm not sure where to look... Does anyone have such a thing?

I've made it with cornmeal, rice flour/sorghum flour and tapioca (when you are able to try more alternative stuff.)

In the meantime, I found these which you might adapt:

When we first went GF, we just avoided baked things altogether. Ate a lot of rice & beans . I'd personally avoid eating more corn when going GF - corn is really hard to digest, and a lot of people are reactive to corn as well as gluten - so eating more corn at the same time as taking out gluten can give you confusing results.

thanks for the recipes luminesce--i tried the first one (the savory one) today with chili. That's why I was thinking about cornbread in specific... It's alright but I'm realizing how sweet my old recipe was and I sure liked it, so I think maybe I'll try a sweeter one next time.

Thanks for that tip mamafish, that's a good point. I've typically tried to stay kinda low on corn in our diets anyway because all the GMO stuff with corn bothers me.

Yes, there is some evidence that GMO corn and soy could be one of the causes of the new rise in allergies b/c they change our gut flora DNA.
