What do you think of Ecosmart products?

We are being eaten alive by mosquitos. I found this organic lawn spray from Ecosmart. What do you all think if it? Would you feel comfortable using it around your DC and pets?

I hope I am allowed to post a link

I only know that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate isn't good for you, I don't know about the first main ingredient, but it is something I don't recognize. I'm sure you could get citronella and dilute it and spray it around the yard. Anyone else got ideas for getting rid of mosquitoes?

Here's what EWG has to say about it:

It looks fairly safe, but it also looks like there haven't been many tests done on it, so...

Personally, I'm wary of spraying anything on the yard. If you're a gardener, you do a lot of work to build up the soil. Do you really want to be spraying an insecticide that could be killing your insect helper-friends in addition to the mosquitos? That said, if you're spraying your family with DEET every day because the mosquitos are so bad, I might consider it.

Are the mosquitos always bad in your yard? Could you plan outside time around times of day when there are less? One great idea (if your yard isn't too large and you have an outdoor outlet) is to set up a fan outside. Mosquitos can't fly well in wind, so if you stay close enough to the fan, they'll stay away.

Thank you. It never crossed my mind to check cosmeticdatabase.com

I am also wary about using anything in my yard. We do garden organically which is a cocern for us. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day we are out. I have always gotten eaten up with bites every year no matter where I go. I've been told that I'm just too sweet I grow lemon balm and use it. Every time lately that DS and I step outside I spray us first with an organic bug spray made with a mix of oils like rosemary and lemon balm etc. It stinks but I have grown to like the smell. I do not use DEET.

I have been thinking about building a bat box. I have heard that one bat can eat thousands of mosquitos everyday. I have also heard that it is a myth that they can really help with backyard mosquito control. I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I wonder if anyone has bat boxes and how well they work?

We had bats that would fly above the garden every evening catching the bugs. No doubt they would take care of some at least and you would be able to catch the bat guano below the box and use it for the garden.
