Mirrors in toddler's room?

I'm getting a bedroom set for each of my toddlers' rooms. They both come with a mirror. I'm 99% sure I'm not going to install them on their dressers yet because it freaks me out to have glass in the kids' room - but I wonder if I'm over-reacting. I mean, they don't break the bathroom mirror. My kids are 2.5 and 3; the 2.5 year old is pretty mellow mostly but my 3 year old is a little whirlwind and we had to REALLY childproof with him because he destroys everything (without meaning to, he just explores and has a lot of energy). I'm afraid of him throwing a toy accidentally and shattering the glass.

When is it OK to put a mirror in a child's room (that you're not going to be with them in all the time)? Not like a family bedroom but an actual child's bedroom?

Montessori nurseries are designed with a mattress on the floor with a mirror running along one full side. Also framed pictures at child level.

Put the mirror on the inside of the closet door. Then they can open it up to play dress up and close it up for rambunctiousness.

We have a mirror in ds' room - I didn't even think not to put it in there. It is secured to the wall though.

DD has a full length mirror in her room! She loves to go look in the mirror! Either to just be silly and see what she looks like with Daddy's underwear on her head, or to see how nice she looks in the dress she's wearing!!

Just make sure since they're going to be on top of the dresser that you get those brackets that can secure it to the wall. I'm pretty sure they should come with those, but if not I'm sure any home improvement store would have them.

Thank you for the replies, maybe I was worried for nothing. I will get my husband to secure them to the wall. I will put it in my daughter's room for sure but I'm still undecided about my son's. He likes looking in the bathroom mirror but he is SO "violent" in his play that I'm not sure yet.
