I've never been approved for a credit card with a limit over $500. Of course, that doesn't stop them from sending me bills for $2000 worth of fees (which are sometimes my fault and sometimes not).

Yuck.

Our mortgage was a special first-time-homeowner's mortgage at a super-low rate. When we tried to rent it, we found out that one of the stipulations to the mortgage was that we had to be the occupants. No renting without refinancing first.

We may just have to do that. We simply can't afford to spend one grand each month keeping a house we don't want. My BIL really wants to buy it, but he can't until after Labor Day at the earliest.

So if your BIL is dead serious about wanting to buy the house... could he split the mortgage with you until then? Sort of a good faith thing that you won't sell it to anyone else? I mean, it would suck that you couldn't sell it to anyone else... but if it's taken this long it seems unlikely that you would sell it before then anyhow.

we have the kind of mortgage where we do have to refinance it, but luckily we have a year to do so. right now rates for investment properties are low as well, so that's what we are doing soon. As long as we can find someone who will actually refinance it with all the debt and the lowered income we have...

sme~ i'm quite sure that the bank isn't going to actually go to your house and check if it's being rented out. although you probably shouldn't go through an agency to take care of the house for you renting it yourself could easily be done...heck we're renting a foreclosure and although i'm SURE the owner should be useing his rent money to go towards the bad loan even though it won't save him i know that isn't happening! another option also is to allow your BIL to live there and start paying you for the house. "rent to own" kinda thing.

It's me, a 4yr old and an infant and I spend about 600-700 on food(just food). Well I know I do. I never eat out, can't afford to.

I'm loosing my cool, guys.

I've pumped twice today and gotten a grand total of 2.5 ounces.

Plus I'm worried that not getting enough pumping is going to tank my supply the rest of the time.

And of course being worried is probably making me pump less, too.

I've just started a tincture to help with my milk. Plus I think I have another one coming in the mail.

I'm eating oatmeal. Doing breast massage and breast compressions. Drinking mother's milk tea.

I'm pretty much out of ideas. The only thing I can think of now is to call the midwives and see if I can get a prescription or something.

This is really hard. Breastfeeding is so much easier than pumping.

rhi -- Fenugreek saved me during my 9 month supply dip. I also made (and ate) tons of lactation cookies! (http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Oat...rujillo-192346)

Have you considered ordering domperidone?
That looks good. I wonder if using margarine will make them spread too much (I can't eat dairy right now).

I should make a new batch of baked oatmeal. I think I noticed an increase in my supply when I was eating those all the time. I think I'll try to make some peanut butter and jelly flavored ones!

Haha, I'm having conversations in stereo. Facebook and MDC.

Can I order the dom on the internet? Or should I get a prescription from the midwives?

The stuff I've read about the fenugreek says it takes up to three days to really notice a difference, which works nicely, since I have until Tuesday before I go back to work. I know I can manage to get what she'll eat pumped before then, so I just really need to see a supply boost by Tuesday. Plus next week my friend is babysitting her all day Tues-Thurs, and DH has her all day on Friday, because day care is on summer break. So they can always bring her to me to eat if need be.

See if you can get your hands on some Earth Balance (not Smart Balance). It bakes perfectly.

Awesome! I have some Smart Balance in the fridge, but I just saw Earth Balance at the store today (in the "you're a freakish hippie if you're standing here" section)

Rhi, You can order it online. I know my insurance doesn't cover Motilium, but yours might, and it might be cheaper than buying online. You'll have to check your formulary!

Yup, I swore by Earth Balance for a year and a half when DD had her dairy intolerance. Most margarine has some dairy in it, so Earth Balance was all I could find that had none. And it's pretty good!

follow everything in kellymom rhi... pump for a full 5min after nothing is pumping. make sur eyour flanges are the right size, drink lots of water. also eating lunch before pumping helps. yes on everything else suggested above! GL! i was just going to ask you how work was going.

i put out a GL ad for childcare & I have 1 response. from a gal who seriously could have walked off the mothering.com board. homeschools, breastfeeds, cloth diapers, having child #5, has dealt with allergies, little to no TV, healthful food. her new baby will only be a couple months younger & the next oldest is 6 mo older than my son, plus she has prior nanny experience & some college classes in child dev. seems like a candidate worth pursuing! now i have to reply and think up some quasi intellegent ?s. or maybe I should just arrange to meet since she is due in the near future & may not be available later? eek! i just hope she can do FT care on my budget.

I was just going to suggest this! I use it for all of my non-dairy cooking. Bakes beautifully.
