Sweet.Bee, vivica2, WTHamI?, and Banana731 Let's get those ovaries going, girls! Good luck; hope you O soon.

vivica2 I've got your dust right here...

KingsDaughter76 Congrats! I have tried to stop temping after O before, but I just get crazy. I'd rather temp and have an off temp here or there that I know might be a fluke than not temp at all.

lazykate I am all for making babies and dreaming about the future, but having HIM point out all those preggo women would annoy me to no end after awhile. I already feel like I have pregnancy radar. Just can't get away.

maxnmaizy Where are the photos of these tests?!? Anything worth analyzing?

AFM Temp is still up. My temp is a lot higher than my O temp, but not as high as previous cycle temps. Which is more important? To be so much above O or to be higher in general? Also, for those who have felt implantation, what does it feel like? Crampiness? Where? I feel O pain sometimes, but that is always a bit off-center. Is imp. the same?

Everyone have a great day!

I woke up this morning to a temp that shot up .5 degrees! But I got my +opk on Friday and by Sunday my temp was still normal and my cervix was closed! I thought I didn't O. What does that mean?!!
Hi everyone! Best of luck to everyone in the wait!

I had my birthday yesterday, and have been pretty down about everything. It's now been over a year since I started seriously talking with DH about adding to our family. He wasn't ready for the longest time, and in September 2009 asked that we wait to start until January 2010. So we did, and here I still am. Sometimes I feel so mad that I waited, although I really didn't have much say in the matter (we are PARTNERS after all, sigh ).

Anyway, not much point to this but to say bring on the next cycle I suppose.

I'm on CD5, and have a visit with a nurse practioner today (my lovely doctor is on vacation, annoying!). I want to discuss what I can think about doing to elongate my LP. I've started spotting which never stops at 7dpo, 9dpo, and 7dpo since I've started charting, so I think a fairly good pattern is there now.

Wish me luck!

virginia- i think it is related to your pre o temps. so if it a good jump then i think your good! because weather ect can affect your overal temp. KWIM?

banana- i think its 3 days after your first pos OPK that you may o, so look for signs of o today!

sml- hope the doc has some answers.

AAM_ Check out that temp jump ladies!!http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1b07bd

Virginia884, I agree with vivica. I think your pre-O temps relative to post-O is most important. I can't help you with implantation. I thought I felt it last cycle, but here I still am. O pain for me is strong cramping on one side, higher up than period cramping, and I get some twinges here and there around the ovaries (both sides, even) for quite awhile before I O. Follicles growing, maybe?

Banana731, this is my first cycle with OPKs, but can't you ovulate up to a couple days after a +?

SML27, good luck with the appointment and in sorting out the spotting. I used to have a few days of it at the end of my cycle, just before the bleeding started, but not since giving birth. And happy birthday!

vivica2, woo-hoo temp jump!

***

Still waiting to O here, but it's only CD12. I'm about to take my OPK of the day in a few minutes. I did a mama-baby fitness walk class this morning, and it was great moving around. I have a few areas that need toning.

Thanks for the new thread.

I'm so confused right now. I have had two high temps now, which normally I would think meant I already O, but all my OPKs have been negative (one a day starting last monday), and in fact, the OPK from today is the darkest one yet. I am new to OPKs, can anyone shed any light?

Hiya ladies! I've been so friggin busy the last few days. No clue whats going on with my cycle...so I guess just keep me in waiting to O.

We found a builder that we love, and that could give us what we wanted for the price we wanted. Now we just have to put our house on the market and we could have our house before Thanksgiving! I hope I'm at least a couple months pg by then!!!!

GL to all!!! !!!!!!!!!

After getting a positive OPK, you will ovulate within 12-48 hours (I think). Since your pos OPK was Friday, you could Ovulate between Saturday and Sunday....and since your temp didn't go up until today, that means you Ovulated yesterday (sunday). That works out doesn't it? I have no clue about cervix position stuff though.

Looking at your chart, I would think no O yet. Your temps have dipped below the coverline too often. If it were a fallback rise, it would have only happened once.

What are you having done? I'm totally into house renovation right now! We're buying a house right now and at some point we want to move the stairs Right? But it's the only way to open up our kitchen.

That makes sense. I'm worried because we didn't BD yesterday. My cervix was closed by the afternoon, so I figured it's didn't matter. But maybe we should have sat the kids in front of the TV and had some "grown up time" in the morning!

Banana731... I'm with Samy23, you should Ovulate 12-48 hours after the first positive OPK. But, if you get more than one "surge", O can be tougher to pinpoint. That's where the temping and other signs can help. I would guess, judging from your temp and cervix that you Ovulated early Sunday.

Samy23... I had typed out a nice message to you yesterday, but it was in my post that was eaten... I think your timing is great! Way back before OPKs, Doctors told women to have sex when their temp rose. That was the day after Ovulation and was the best they could do to predict the best time. The day of is sooooo much better!

AAM... I'm supposed to see Slim and Smilie today/tonight. With two scheduled, I figure one should come through. Though, Joe is walking around my house in his boxers and it's driving me mad!!!!!

Well, the Dr. visit was a total waste of time.

The prognosis? I should "drink some wine". Or "just relax".

She said that plenty of people with short cycles get pregnant. Thanks, I know. The problem isn't my short cycle, it's my short LP. My consistently short LP.

She also suggested stopping temping and charting saying it's bad for me. She reiterated her prescription for wine, and relaxing, and sent me on my merry way.

I feel like an idiot.

your provider sounds like an a$%. Don't feel like an idiot. What about B6? There are a bunch of threads here about it for LP regulation.

Other than that, find a different CP. One who will actually listen to you.

i would have stomped and screamed! she is the idiot, not you!

that lady irkes me and i wasnt even there!!! lol

Wow, SML27 I would get a new doctor ASAP if you can. That's the kind of BS that I just can't stand, aren't you paying them to actually help you?
Hrmph.

I on, the other hand, had a great visit with the surgeon, I am healing up great, no muscle damage, the scar tissue seems to have calmed the F down, and I can go off the antibiotics!!! Which means I am back at work (thank god, cause I'm at two weeks unpaid) and dun dun dun.... we get to TTC next cycle!!!
YAY!!

SML - Was your Dr. Appt (with the NP) at an OB's office or was this just your General Physician. I'm only asking because many regular doctors are pretty clueless about the menstrual cycle and I suspect many of them don't even know what a luteal phase is If this is a GP I would go back and ask for a referral to an OB - focus on the irregular bleeding (this is something that should be checked out) not on the TTC and they will be much more likely to take you seriously (sad but true!)

I went through the same thing myself a while back, my GP looked at me like I had three heads when I said "luteal phase" but he was concerned about the "irregular bleeding" and referred me to an OB, who finally got the LPD under control with prog. supps

If you were brushed off like that at an OBs office then I would start looking for a new OB

AFM - Took my temp for the first time this cycle and it was well into my normal O zone which would put my O at CD9 - WTH! I didn't sleep well last night and temped about an hour later than normal, but I never get temps like this before O (98.4). Seriously starting to worry about how early I O lately I'm hoping todays temp was a fluke and that I will actually O today or tomorrow (for some reason CD 10 or 11 seem much more reasonable). Yesterdays OPK was questionable, and I had serious O pain last night... I'm taking another OPK this afternoon - I really hope it's a strong + If I did already O we had great timing, but what difference does that make if my egg is crappy, ugh!

Thanks ladies, it's nice to know I'm not going crazy. Yes, this appointment was with a Nurse Practioner as my family doctor (who is also my OB and delivered my daughter) was away on vacation.

I am on a B complex, but what is vitex? How can that help?

The only upside of this is that the nurse noticed it had been three years since my last physical (although I had a pap in January) and wants me back in in a week or so, so I get to see my regular doctor then. I'll restate my concerns about the bleeding.

What I don't understand is, when I told the nurse when I was bleeding in my cycle, she just said, "well, if your egg is fertilized, you're pregnant and therefore you won't have your period". She talked to me like I was four. I corrected her, and said that actually, you aren't pregnant until you implant, so what happens if I started bleeding before that fertilized egg implanted? She just gave a shrug.

My regular doctor is very good, so I hope I get a few answers then?

SML27, I'm so sorry you had to deal with such an ignorant NP. There are a few things I've heard can help your LP... vitex, B6, and progesterone cream (not all at once). If you do some internet searches you can find out a lot of information about those things and maybe discuss them with your doctor at your next appt. It sounds like you know more about reproductive health than that annoying NP.

AFM, I'm just chillin' at CD7. It will probably be at least another 11 days before O comes so I'm just trying to relax.

SML27... I'm sorry about your wasted trip for bad medical advice. I hope when you see your doctor you get a more educated response. I can't believe how you were brushed off!

Vivica2... No, Joe didn't see what I typed. (Though, he knows I am hot for him.)

AAM... I rescheduled Smilie for tomorrow night and not 30 minutes later, Slim calls to cancel! Sheesh! Luckily, Slim called again a couple hours ago, feeling better, and I was able to get a BD in today. I'm hoping to get in one a day up until, and including Friday, when I should ovulate.

Everybody think Reproductive Thoughts!
