This is on my DH, not my DC.
He's had this rash for a few years, actually. The dermatologist gave him some steroidal ointment, which helps if he uses it forever. I'd like to find the root of the issue, though.
It looks like very mild folliculitis. He has tiny red spots at the root of hairs on his chest, back, and tummy, and sometimes on his arms. There are no welts or patches....just tiny red spots. No pustules or blisters. It doesn't itch or hurt; it's just unsightly and bothers him (it doesn't look so bad to me, but he's really self-conscious about it.
It's worse in the winter and better in the summer. I've browsed through hundreds of Internet images and many websites trying to find an answer, but all the folliculitis information says that there is usually itching and/or whiteheads involved.
Any ideas? It looks like the picture on this page, except not even that angry looking.
