S/O: what's the weirdest thing your lo's eaten?

what is the grossest/weirdest/scariest thing your lo has put in their mouth so far?

dd tried to eat a dead ant the other day. a big, dead ant. but i fished it out before she could swallow. it's been giving me the creepy crawlies ever since.

DD ate a few dead wasps. DS likes rocks, both have eaten buckets of sand. So much I joked that they had 20 grit diapers, maybe it cleans out the systems, IDK.

Funny you should ask. DS is pretty good about not eating things, but I was clipping my toe nails the other day and grabbed a clipping and swallowed it before I could stop him.

My response was just a weak "uh... That's... not food hon."

I once went to get my camera to take some pictures of Benjamin in the garden to send to his gran and when I came back I found him doing this:

DS would eat an entire box of tissues if we let him. He is also a big fan of stones and cat food. Sigh. It's really his face when he eats something thats not food that cracks me up. He'll put it in his mouth, hold it there, look at DH or I with big eyes and then start chewing. If you try to get your finger in there to get it out he pinches his lips shut, clenches his jaw and swallows really fast. I know that I shouldn't laugh at him because it just encourages the behavior but he looks so funny.

DS1 scarfed down a safety pin when he was about 6 months old.

One x-ray and one poop later, he was fine.
