Is it bad that I didnt go for my 6 week pp check?

I just kind of forgot to go for the 6 week check.
I had a c/s and every thing feels fine and now its been 9 weeks.
Am I supposed to get a pap smear or something?
Do I have to go?
I really dont feel like it, so probably wont unless there is a real reason.

My midwife offered to look at my perenium but I said everything was fine. She checked that I wasn't due for a pap until next year and she rescreened me with the depression questionaire. I'd say if you have no concerns there's probably no reason to go.

I went mostly because I love my midwife But it was a very simple visit. We skipped the vaginal check as I wasn't due for one, and was feeling fine. Mostly she weighed R, asked some questions about my healing, birth control, and then we just chatted. I'm not sure if there's more done with a C-section though.

I don't know about c/s either, but I didn't go to mine. Simply because I didn't feel like it. I got tired of people poking down there lol And that with the fact that I refused any checks, and only got a swab, pap, and doc popped my water in labor. Oh, and I got checked how far along I was like three times in labor by different nurses. I thought it was totally unnecessary. Did I mention I'm not going back to the hospital? I didn't have any stitches though, as I refused those too. I got a minor tear and I refused to get a couple of stitches doc suggested. I don't know anyone else who has done that? Last time I got stitches, and it took so much longer to heal, and I swear I felt traumatized from those for like a year. Anyway, that's totally off topic. I'm sure you are fine to skip it!

I, too, am 8 or 9 wks pp and have not gone. I do not see any reason to other than I would like to see the midwife who assisted in the birth. Other than seeing her again, I feel totally fine.

I am 9 wks pp and have not gone either. I had thrush and a bacterial infection - the thrush is gone and we are working on the bacterial infection. So I really don't fancy anyone looking at my bits just yet! lol
I also had a c/s. I feel fine. I had a c/s with DS1 as well and never had my 6 weeks pp check. This was because my period came back at 6 weeks ...and then I just never ended up going!
I think the idea is to get a smear done. You can get that done anytime though!

I went to mine, and I may as well have skipped it had I known how pointless it was. The NP asked how we were doing, if I had pain in the perineum (I had to have an episiotomy), if I was bleeding anymore, and what we were doing for birth control. That's it, literally. If I had know it was going to be that lame I wouldn't have had my husband take the afternoon off work to come with me and cuddle Cecilia while I was being "examined" (which never happened)!

This was mine!!!

I went in for a routine gyno check in November of last year and she asked what I was told at my 6 week pelvic exam. I said, "She didn't do an exam." and the doc got all huffy and said, "She was supposed to have done one" in a 'are you sure??' tone.

I didnt go. I just couldnt be bothered. DH was away for training and I was stressed at home with a toddler and a baby, I didnt feel like getting everyone ready to drive across town for a pointless visit.

I had a c-section too, so I figured they wouldnt want to even look at my bits. I didnt go with DS either.
