diaper sprayer installation/plumbing question

I'm not sure this really goes in the diapering forum, since it is more of a plumbing problem, but I thought maybe someone else had my experience when they were installing their diaper sprayer.

The toilet I'm trying to install the sprayer on has a rigid, metal water supply line. I bought the Diaper Sprayer brand sprayer because the BumGenius one needed a flexible line (plus I found out the Diaper Sprayer is more highly recommended). The instructions say to completely remove the water supply line & install the equipment sent with the sprayer. I went to remove the line & cannot get it off. I unscrewed both ends but it will not budge. I'm in a rental, so I do not want to do too much & do not want to damage anything as I'll need to put it all back together when we move.

Anyone else have experience removing a rigid supply line? I really want to use this sprayer! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you have a 2-piece toilet (more common), then you should be able to get it off by lifting the tank up. If you have a 1-piece toilet then it will be much harder and I'd recommend against it in a rental.

You can follow the first part of the instructions here for draining the water from the tank and removing the tank:

You will have to get a flexible supply line to use with the sprayer as the rigid one won't fit. I'd recommend buying a few different lengths so you can see what will work, then return the rest.

Good luck!

Oh, I just checked out the sprayer that you got and it looks like it comes with its own hose? Regardless, you might want to get a flexible line for when you move out as it will make things easier for you.
