Best Teething Toys for a 4 month baby?

I have a few teething rings and other teething toys from my baby shower, but he's not so great at hanging on to them yet, so usually he's just chewing on his hands. I've heard of the Sophie the Giraffe, but I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that it's latex.

What teething toys would you recommend for a 4 month old?

Thanks!

Sophie is actually made out of 100% rubber and painted with food dyes IIRC. You can always try teething bling too. But I think vulli products are great. Or you could look into baby dolls made out of fabrics.

Oh, I thought "natural rubber" and latex are the same thing.

We have a wooden teether that I got from etsy - it's a huge hit because he can stick his hand inside it like a bracelet and then chew all the way around.

My daughter much preferred a damp washcloth.

I have three wooden teethers from Etsy, as well as these teething keys and these silicone teethers from Green Sprouts.

I only got the heart since money was going to Haiti, but it turns out that the heart shape works really well for his little hands.

I don't *think* natural rubber and latex are the same. . .? Anyway Sophie is made from rubber as in the sap from the rubber tree. I was skeptical too, b/c everyone has her and I thought she was just a fad toy. But she's been around for a long time. . .and my ds loves her! She was the first teether he could easily grasp and hold. And she makes the nicest squeak under their gums

We also have a teether made by Nuby that is a ring of "bugs", each one has a different texture. DS loves this too. But if you are avoiding plastic, Plan toys has a couple nice wooden teethers. . .a rainbow ring and something else.

This is what I got recently for DS#2: http://www.stylefeeder.com/i/rgbr9rj...ase-Boy-Colors
It's BPA Free, Soft and it comes with the case. I got it at Target.

I'm an etsy addict , so I'll have to check out those sites that the PP's provided!!

I think latex and rubber are the same thing but I was actually referring to synthetic latex as being different.

Appeteethers by Little Toader are hillarious and they work well too.  They kind of feel like you are biteing down on a finger (firm, but with just enough give).  The are BPA Free, Pthalate Free, Lead Free, PVC Free, and Non-Toxic.  Teething Toys

I like this organic teether because I can chill or freeze it without it getting my baby's hands cold.

DS liked Sophie or a wet wash-cloth best.

We used breastmilk ice cubes and they were a huge hit. My DD didnt start teething until around 6 months though. I bought a few wooden teethers, but she never really seemed to like them.
