What Ovulation test or kits do you use? Im so sick of these internet cheapies

I'm sick of using Internet cheapies Ovulation test sticks....I seriously struggle so much trying to read whether they are positive or not. As only one side of the actual test line (yes, one side of that already tiny line) turns as dark as the control line, I just can't judge the result well at all.

So what other Ovulation tests or actual test kits is everyone else using? If I don't get pregnant this cycle, I NEED something clearer to use for detecting Ovulation.

(I already chart, but that doesn't tell you BEFORE you O...only afterwards.)

I used 3 (only though) of the $ store tests, and thought they were okay. I got a barely there line, a definitely dark as line, and a barely there line-in that order on day 1,2,3. The info that gave me made sense and they were easy to read. So

I agree samy23. I just switched over to the CVS store brand. They are about $18 for 20, but I swear they put the extra money into the ink. They rock!

I used internet cheapies for awhile, but got tired of trying to tell if the line was really darker or if it was just close and I was hopeful. I ended up getting a Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor and I LOVED it. I only used it a few months cause I got pregnant while using it (twice actually, lost the first at 5 weeks). But each cycle I used it, my temps confirmed that I O'd on the 2nd "peak" day, so it was really accurate in my experience.

I bought it used on ebay for around $80, which was quite a bit less than the price at my local CVS (maybe $200?) and got the test sticks new on ebay for $30 for a box of 30 instead of $50.

Sending preg vibes your way

I use the Clearblue Easy digital ovulation kit and find it to be very accurate. My temps always go up the day after the "smiley face" and if I take one once my temp goes up, it's always negative. I think they are around $35 for a box of 20. You can see the strip once you eject it, and there have been many times the stick looked positive to me and I got a negative result or looked negative and I got a positive result, so I'm glad they are digital and I don't have to guess what the REAL result is. I used the cheap ones before and, looking back, I wonder how often I read them wrong. HTH

I don't have any input on which ones to use since I'm still looking for better ones myself, but I will say I had the EXACT same problem with the Answer brand tests as I did with internet cheapies with only part of the line turning dark. So I would NOT recommend those. I didn't have that issue with the CVS ones but I also never got a positive the week I used them so I don't know how they would have fared.

I'm thinking of getting a clearable fertility monitor i have seen some cheaper on ebay.

I switched to the $ tree ones, which seem to have more ink than the cheapies.
But I like to use them as a backup confirm.
But using CM as a guide, I have much better results.
I have found myself getting too obsessed with the OPKs and forgetting to look for other signs, and since I tend to get +s for 3 days or so, it's not really telling me all that much.

Thanks ladies,

I have just looked up about the clearblue ones, there seem to be two. Clearblue Digital Ovulation Testing Kit, and the Clearblue Fertility Monitor. -The first one is much cheaper than the second, but both have good reviews on amazon.

Think I'll try the cheaper one first, and it would be nice to see a smiley face in the window to let me know it has detected the LH surge!
