I only threw up once during labour, but didn't want to eat much at all. (Though I remember sitting on an exercise ball in the shower at the hospital drinking broth. The height of decadence, but I was too tired to enjoy it!)
I am habitually low blood sugar though, so I had a signed note from my docotr telling the staff that I was 'allowed' to eat.
I packed a cooler with things I knew would tempt me and that I could eat quickly. Granola bars, pudding, a sandwich (but I didn't eat that.) etc.
After I got moved to the pp floor, I ate breakfast, and then lunch - the lunch was cream of mushroom soup and a tuna sandwich and it was SOOOOOO good, because I was SOOOOO hungry.

With my 1st, the hospital had great room service and I ordered a huge club sandwich. Then I had to wait a little while for a postpartum room to open up and I remember that when they wheeled me up there I was balancing the plate of food and the baby on my lap.
... Propel, chunks of watermelon, kashi bars, lollipops, etc. I honestly only really wanted a chunk or two of watermelon and some Propel. Now after.... I could have eaten pretty much anything.
