Why am I SO tired?

I have been feeling beyond tired lately. Not just sleepy, but physically tired. I feel winded walking up the stairs, my daughter feels heavy in my arms, I am tired even after waking up from a nap.

I am still breastfeeding my almost one year old, we're cosleeping but she only wakes up 1 or 2 times a night now. Shouldn't I be starting to feel less tired? It's just an awful, all over fatigue. Some nights I just lay on the couch and watch my daughter play. (My husband works nights, so it's just us a lot of the time) I'm on the pill so I don't think that I am pregnant. I would go to the doctor but I am afraid she'll just say, "tired? Who isn't?" She has 3 kids and a full time job, I don't feel like I deserve to complain, you know?
I take a multivitamin and omega-3s everyday. I am hoping this just 'clicks' for someone reading and you will say, 'that sounds like....' whatever. Any ideas?

Thyroid/adrenals possibly???? Maybe you could ask your HCP for a full thyroid panel plus antibodies? Although most conventional doctors will only test your TSH which won't be much help. Are you having any other symptoms besides fatigue? Whenever someone says I'm so tired all the time I immediately think thyroid/adrenal issues because I was the same exact way and I have thyroid/adrenal issues. Here are some classic symptoms of hypothyroid.

Just tired, sometimes lightheaded. And I'm moody/irritable as all heck, but isn't everyone when they are tired?

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out.

that's totally adrenals and could be thyroid as well. Keep in mind also your not sleeping well so that's very stressful on the adrenals as is pregnancy. Adrenal support would probably be good for you either way.
In our crazy toxic world I think it's wise to support adrenals. You can also check out the adrenal thread.

Thyroid, iron and/or Vit D- get all checked. I have had problems with all three since having babies, and all have made me extremely tired, to the point of being lethargic at times.
