What have you used with success?
After DD2, I had the Mirena inserted during the first or second PPAF. It was such a horrible experience I don't think I'd ever consider another IUD of any sort. The IUD became dislodged somehow and every movement I made felt like something was piercing the uterine wall. When I went to the GYN to have it looked at, she was gonna make me wait another two months before having it removed before I threw a fit in her office.
After that, we decided to use NFP and the withdrawal method.
DD3 came in October 2009. I have been bfing her since birth. She began solids at 4 mos. I had first PPAF in December. Since that time, my cycles are so unpredictable and it's extremely stressful to me. I tried BC pills at 3 mo PP, but DD3 acted as though she didn't want to nurse while I was on them and my supply seemed to decrease, so I stopped taking them. We then began using the withdrawal method and condoms. My last AF was April 22nd. I'm not sure what to ask the new GYN for; I just want something that is very reliable.
I'm also considering a tubal. My concerns are that I'm young and I'll later regret it. DH is 27; I'm 25. We already have three wonderful DDs we love more than anyone could ever imagine. I'm trying to get my career going and DH just got out of the military a few months ago. I really don't think I could handle more children. Plus, the last OBGYN I had advised no more pregnancies because when she did my second c-section she said my uterine wall was very thin. She said at most she'd say one more baby and I just don't want to risk my life or an innocent baby's life; I have three wonderful healthy daughters to raise.
I have an appointment with her on July 7th. I just want to go in as prepared as possible with what I want. I've had horrible luck with the healthcare community.
