I thought I'd never say that, seriously. After nursing for hours and hours and hours and just feeling touched out all the time, I never thought I'd be begging for cuddles.
But now my boys are 8 months, and just don't want cuddles? I dunno. It's like they don't want me to snuggle them unless they're nursing. I tried just cuddling them to sleep last night after the nursed, finished and decided it was play time. That didn't work - maybe they were "fighting it?" Sleepy, but insisting on inspecting everything around them, trying to climb me like a monkey gym, arching over backward, etc.
Is this normal? They like cuddles after waking up for a few minutes, but I don't get a lazy down time to relax and just... snuggle at all.

He still barely ever does! And once he stopped sleeping in our bed, around 14 months, he won't sleep in our bed anymore. Some nights, especially when DH is gone, I just want him to come sleep with me and snuggle all night. He just thinks it's playtime. Hopefully when he's a little older, he'll want to sleep with me again. DD is at the perfect snuggle age now though, I'm going to remember to enjoy it as much as possible because it is over quite quickly.
