Does your bf toddler like cow's milk?

I'm just curious! My dd (2 years, 2 months) is CRAZY for cow's milk. I don't even know where she got the idea to drink, because to my knowledge, she has never seen anyone drink it. I put it in my coffee at my mom's house. She wanted some milk awhile ago, so I got some for her. She loves mommy milk still, too! I hadn't planned on giving her milk, with her nursing and all and I don't think we need to be drinking a ton of cow's milk. Hmmmm......

Interesting! My 2 year old does not like cow's milk at all. His cousins who were weaned at 1 yr old or before all love it, but the one cuz who was breastfed til 4 does not like it either unless it is chocolate. DS likes it on cereal, sometimes, but wasn't even interested in chocolate milk. I tried giving him milk in a sippy and a bottle and it was so funny--he just let it dribble down his chin and made this face like he had tasted the worst thing! Actually I just remembered that his 14 mo old cousin (the sibling of the one who doesn't like milk) loves to eat and is very happy to drink cow's milk in a bottle before nap now that his mom is pregnant and her supply has gone down, though he nurses too. I guess it is just an individual thing?

My dd is 17 months and likes it. She prefers goat's milk though... and still nurses

18 month old loves it. 3yo likes it too. Both are still nursing, the older one not so much. I have no reason to restrict access to it.

My daughter loved breast milk, loved cow's milk (still does) -- basically, she just likes to eat!

DS (29 months) is still bf but loves milk. He started drinking it a while ago, but really ramped up when my milk went down due to pg. I now have more milk, but he still loves cow's milk.

My DS is almost 3 and still nurses 2-3 times a day. He will drink chocolate cow milk but not plain.

I'm glad my kid's not the only one!

HATES it. Hates goat and soy and all the other substitutes too. This boy is cuckoo for breastmilk! <3

My boy is 4 and has never had a full cup of cow's milk (or any other kind of milk). He has a splash on his cereal, and has plenty of dairy products in cooking, plus he will eat a mountain of cheese if I let him LOL but he doesn't like yogurt or milk. He still breastfeeds at least twice a day.

No, he seems offended when he is offered it.

He does like yogurt and cheese

No ds will not take anything with cows milk at all, have cooked etc with soy, rice substitutes but he's still not that keen, apart from Soy Cream stuff that he loves on his pasta.

DD takes alittle on her cereal but that's it we don't actually 'drink' milk - if you know what I mean!!

Loves it. She is very clear about when she wants moo vs milk.

Neither of my nursing toddlers like/d cows milk.

My first didn't like it, and still won't drink it, but the second does like it. Not as much as mama milk, mind you. LOL.

Yep, loves it and asks for a "glass of cows milk" several times a day (which is really a half cup). He is over 2.5 and still nursing (about 3 times a night and once at nap). I think he started some cows milk at the age where they tell you it is ok to (around 1 yr I think?) he loves cheese too. Actually he loves anything. I dont think there is anything he won't eat. We've never tried goats milk.

My 2.5 year old DD still nurses very frequently AND loves cow's milk. My middle child who weaned at 3 has never really cared for it and my oldest would drink a gallon a day if I would let him. I guess they are all different.

DS is 18 mo and still nurses. I tried to wean him to raw cows milk at a year but it turned out he was sensitive to it, as well as raw goats milk. So I just kept on bfing!. I think that if I had to chose between soy, almond, rice etc, and just to keep bfing, I'd rather BF. sounds much more healthy for him I however love raw cows milk warmed for a latte!!
