Hospital vbac prep

Thread Starter
I am planning my hospital vba2c. I met with the head of obstetrics who was 100% supportive, very positive and encouraging. I am concerned about the rest of the team. I see the midwives for prenatal care, but since I am a vbac mama they will not be with me for the birth. So, I do not know who will be the OB on call when I am at the hospital in labor. Should I meet the rest of the team? Has anyone else been in this predicament?

THanks

I've never had this predicament, but I'd say to go ahead and visit with other staff to get to know them and how they practice, so you aren't surprised when stuff comes up in labor. Also, if you have a birth plan already made out, give them a copy when you meet with them, and takes notes when y'all go over it, so you can remember which OBs really are supportive and which aren't.

Oh, and hire a Doula, of course, so you know at least one member of your birth team will be a constant.
