Am I counting correctly?

O.K. ladies, I'm having a serious case of preggo brain. Help me out here!

LMP was 5/28. Due date 3/4/11. So I'm 4 weeks 3 days today but I'm in my 5th week right? So on development sites, I should be looking at week 5 or the 5th week?

I agree with your counting!

Yep - we're in the fifth week. Do you know when you ovulated? If you ovulated any day other than CD14, your due date will be off by anywhere from 1-7 days or even longer if you have long cycles, but it sounds like your cycles must be fairly normal if you know at 4w3d from LMP. For instance, I have 28-30 day cycles, but I ovulated on CD18 this cycle - my LMP was 5/21, but my EDD is 2/28 since I didn't ovulate until later.

I ovulated on CD 15 so the due date is just about the same.

Sweet! Sorry for asking, I just know a lot of people that have no clue, kwim? I would hate for someone to get to the end of the pregnancy and be induced way early because they thought they were 41 weeks or something - anyway - 5th week! You should totally check out A Child is Born by Lennart Nielsson - it's got some AMAZING pics of the first weeks and is really in depth. Maeryn Pearl had this great website on exactly what is going on scientifically in the early weeks, I'm going to PM her and get it, it was really incredibly to know day by day what the baby is growing.

That's how it's counted? How confusing.

No worries! I've been counseling my sister on the same thing. She's due Oct. 18 but one time on her chart, someone wrote Oct. 12. Which totally doesn't match up with anything and I keep explaining to her she will want that extra week at the end.

I was charting to avoid so I know exactly when I ovulated. It was a toss-up between CD 12 and CD 15. BFP means it was CD 15!

yes you are right

when you are 0w3d you are in your 1st week.
I am 10w1d and at the start of my 11th week

The XwXd is saying what has past, the you are in your X week is saying what you are going thru.

Think of it like this, when your baby is 6months old, you say they are in their first year of life.

And when you are 0w3d, you haven't even ovulated yet.
