Cute Boy clothes

Thread Starter
Half-way through another thread, I stopped my post... we need a thread just on clothes. I have some great ones... will find the links and will get back to you. Baby Mammoth is one that comes to mind, but I have more. Will update.

DS is 9 months and starting to get into the totally boring clothes. Sports. Construction. Stripes - blue/green/brown. Yech.
My DSS is almost 4 and buying clothes for him is AWFUL. That I finally broke down and bought a CARS toilet seat just grosses me out (hey it works, but still). Of all my soapboxes, theme-oriented clothing is one I really want to stay away from.
Luckily at 9months, DS can wear overalls and just about any onesie and it's adorable. I really don't want to give in to the gender-oriented, BORING, truck driver or basketball player boy-clothes.

Have you found good companies that offer just...clothes? Good colors, interesting, not this boring (I'm a construction worker, etc.) type boy-clothes?

I quite like H&M and I know they have that in America as wel.
Same as Baby Gap/Gap. Though not all of their clothes.

I have always loved Mini Mode from Boots (but I don't think you have that in America!)

Boden is another keeper!

Same as Frugi! - Good stuff and organic! hehe

Strangly - it seems to be all the really expensive brands! lol

I am find it harder thsi time around because now I have TWO boys! And - even though Hamish is only 9 weeks old...they both have different styles!

i like crazy8. i think their boys stuff is cute if i remember correctly. and they always have sales...super cheap!

although it's super easy to dress a girl nicely and cheaply as a baby, don't worry, the tides will turn in a few years and it'll be easier for you to find normal boys clothes while the cheaper girls stuff all turns into slut-wear.

oh...forgot about dwell for target. they're cheapo and cute usually!

I love the clothes at The Children's Place. I remember my sister buying most of her son's stuff there.

love zutano. janie and jack/gymboree usually have animal themed clothing, but not sports/trucks/etc. mini-boden is nice too. unfortunately these brands are on the spendier end of my budget so we shop sales and look for them used.

threadless.com has screen print tees for kids-adults (ds and I are wearing matching shirts from there in my avatar)

I got a bunch of stuff from http://www.happygreenbee.com/ when they had a big clearance sale, and I love it for the boys. It's nice and soft and character free.

I really like Boden's baby line - I think they do a great job of being cute without being too stereotypical or precious. And the things I've gotten from them have been very well made. It's a but spendy but they have sales (having one right now, actually) and send out email coupons fairly often.

Gymbo, Gap, TCP, Mini Boden, etc., Some that weren't meantioned, I believe, are Tea Collection, HA. A little pricey, but they don't SCREAM trucks, sports, etc.,
Some Carter's stuff has animals, stripes, solid colors, etc., lately for boys. I found a cute onesie for DS#2 that is green with light green stripes and a cute little dinosaur on the front for $3. Goes great with khaki shorts, navy blue shorts or overalls.
I also get daily updates/sale ads from zulily.com with children's stuff that is boutiquish but fairly inexpensive and most of the time you can find items that are eco-friendly, too. www.zulily.com.

I've found cute things at the consignment stores made by http://www.zutano.com/pages/toddler/...-interlock.php or http://www.letop-usa.com/playwear.php?grp=lotsofishboy .

And I've bought quite a bit of girl's clothing - who says boys cannot wear pink and butterflies?

btw, http://comfykid.com/ has the best selection of zutano online they also have le top

re: carters, we have a lot of carters stuff too. you can find some more neutral looking stuff and they make great play clothes

H&M was the best place for baby boy / toddler clothes...really cute. My son always got complimented on his style. As well, they had as many boy clothes to pick from as they did for girls - that always bothered me about other stores; a fraction of the wall for boy clothes and the rest of the store was girl clothes.
A lot of H&M clothes are made partly of organic fabrics.

Zara also has cute boy clothes. A little more expensive but really cute.

I have 3 boys, and I think these have all been mentioned, but we love:

Gymboree
Janie & Jack
Crazy 8
Mini Boden
Gap
Hanna Anderssen

My favorite for little boys would be Janie and Jack. Not sure if it's your style, though.

I don't have a little boy, but I do tend to prefer GN clothing for DD-

We buy lots of clothes from Superstore (This is Canadian, though)- their Joe line has great coordinates

Sears
Please, Mum
Baby Gap
The Children's Place
H&M
Old Navy

I buy mostly Hanna for the under 18 months stage. Its soft, holds up, and I like boring stripes, I guess.

For my older ds, who is 3, its harder. He is a little diva about his clothes - he will only wear what he wants to wear, and I have no say without major strife. Luckily, he has good taste. I like the basic solid color and tie dye t-shirts from Land's End. They hold up well enough to pass down to baby #2 and probably #3. Jeans, Janie and Jack are my favorite, and his, too.

Gap, Mini Boden and H&M also make the top of my list. If I were rich, I'd probably buy mostly Mini Boden - they have the cutest boy stuff!

So far we are living in hand-me-downs and while everything isn't exactly in my taste it has saved us lots and lots of money!
When we do have to start buying H&M seems to have some really, really cute boy stuff . Checked out some of those links above and wow! nice stuff. I especially like the Frugi site!

I have had a difficult time too. I am lucky though, his auntie is a seamstress and makes all sorts of cute things for him.

Another vote for Zutano. Kidsurplus is a place with great prices on it. I also get stuff at the Gap, American Apparel, Speesees, and Threadless Kids. While there is some cute stuff at H&M I find many of their boy graphics to be too violent. I've not had much luck at Old Navy either because thir boy clothes are very stripey and many have super heroes and sports teams. Carters is good (I have the same dino onsie as a PP!) but I even get frustrated with Carters because why does everything have to have little appliques or whatnot? I like basic darn it!

Threadless has periodic sales (one with $10 adult tees going on right now, and a $9 baby stuff sale just ended). American Apparel is really only affordible if you find an outlet store or you have a wholesale license. The Gap by me was having a 40% off all sale stuff deal last week. That was awesome.
