Well, I was right and Richard was indeed born the next day, late morning June 28, 2010!
He was 9 lbs 15 oz and it was a long, tough labor due to a persistent cervical lip and him delivering posterior (3 of 5 of mine have so it must be my pelvis shape). But we were able to stay home and I am so incredibly thankful to have an amazing husband, midwives that I can trust and who all loved me enough to help me through it! While the delivery was my hardest, we are all healthy, my perineum is fully intact without even a graze, and the Mother's Cordial did its work for a second time and I had no PPH. Afterpains are a bit rough but I'm thankful to be able to take ibuprofen again now! I am tired but so happy to have my little boy here to snuggle on. He's nursing well and my milk is coming in quickly.
I will of course write up a birth story at some point in the near future but I do have some processing to do first and am currently enjoying my boy and getting some much needed rest!
