Walker? Jumper? "Stationary Activity Center" for 5 1/2 mo

My dd is outgrowing her bouncer seat and ready for some action but not very interested in crawling...she wants to stand!

I am window shopping for something for her to hang out and play in.

We have a TINY townhouse right now and so I am thinking stationary might be a better option. Also the jumpers that attach to the tops of doorways do not work in our place so that is out as well.

Anyone have suggestions for what kind I should get her? She has just recently started to sit on her own leaning forward on her legs. She is strong enough to hold herself up, she is still just learning about balance and as I mentioned before she loves when we hold her hands and help her stand and walk.

TIA!

we live in a small townhouse/apt too.I got a bright starts bounce bounce baby off craigslist, it has a pretty small foot print. ds likes to walk around it now while holding on to one hand.

I would get a jumperoo over a walker. I heard walkers are bad for their legs.

is a jumperoo the same type of thing as a doorway jumper? We just got a doorway jumper- http://www.target.com/Graco-Bumper-J.../dp/B00117XENQ are those okay for the little ones? someone recommended that their similar aged ds loves it

My son loved his jumparoo from 4 months on. We bought one for DD but she's only 2 months so we haven't tried it yet, I'm hoping she loves it as much as her big brother did!

I'm looking around for small footprint ideas as well. This one is a little bright and ugly just like all the others... but it folds up like an umbrella!

Looks interesting, but I've never seen one irl, so can't comment on it more than to just pass the link.

Our son is addicted to his jumperoo. We have the Fisher Price rainforest jumperoo. He'll spend 15-30 minutes in it 2-3 times a day if I let him. It's big, but all jumperoos/exersaucers seem to be. It's worth the space, in my opinion...we don't need to walk around our small entertainment room, anyway, so it's okay that it takes up a lot of the space in there. It's fantastic for getting the wiggles out before we start into the bedtime routine.

Walkers seem to be generally not recommended these days...bad for development and dangerous.

We had a stationary exersaucer for DD1 and she loved it. For DD2, we had given away the exersaucer and so we got a jumperoo. It is so much fun, she jumps and can just throw herself around in it! The biggest drawback is that it takes up way more space than the exersaucer. I was shocked when we first set it up and I couldn't recommend it for a small place.
