Do You Sun Your Wool Covers??

after a few blow-outs, my Imse Vimse wool covers are starting to stain. i'm wondering, can you sun them? it works great to bleach prefolds, but i've read other places that you should avoid sunning wool.

maybe someone else has experience? the boiled wool seems to be indestructible.

yes, but only the natural undyed ones. Works great! Just wash (I usually strip lanolin out w/ dawn before I sun b/c stains can be held in by lanolin) & lay wet wool in the sun to dry.

If you try to sun dyed wool it can really fade the colors.

I sun them inside out. I dry them in the sun too, since otherwise they'll take 3 days to dry.

Yup! I've done both, natural and dyed. I keep a close on eye on the dyed ones though, because as PP said, they can really fade!
