Easiest option for nursing

I was never able to nurse DS while wearing him. He was a super-barfer and had some special position considerations that made it impossible.

I am expecting #2 and am hoping to be able to nurse this little one while carrying them. I have a ring sling and an ergo. I don't plan to use the ergo until LO is about 4-5 months.

Is a ring-sling the easiest option for nursing on the go? What other carriers work well for nursing a newborn?

Thank you in advance.

Many women have success nursing in a ring sling. One of the reasons is that it's fairly easy to loosen the sling to get the baby in a classic nursing hold (tummy to tummy, but diagonal across the mama's body). You can also nurse with the baby in a more upright position in a ring sling too.
I also liked mei tais and wraps for nursing, but in those I usually nursed with the baby upright (which I preferred). Technically, it's possible to nurse in most carriers provided there is not any fabric from the carrier between you and the baby that would make your breast inaccessible. Keep in mind though that babywearing is a learned skill and so is nursing, it's usually best to master them separately before trying to do both at the same time. It may take some practice to get the hang of nursing in a carrier and don't be surprised if it is never a hands free thing for you, it's not for most women. It will give you some extra support and you may get one hand free, but most women wind up using at least one hand/arm to support their breast or their baby's head. It's better then nothing though!

I loved nursing in the baby ktan, it is a mix of a double RS/wrap.
