Are temps around cover/not rising a bad thing?

So, I was pretty happy with my chart. I have an obvious thermal shift for the first time ever. Yay! But, of course I can't be happy with that- I want myself a BFP!

But, as the tww wears on and the bfns rack up, I find myself looking for tell-tales signs of failure...

Today's nagging worry- I know triphasic is good. I know temps continuing to rise post-O is good. However, is the lack of those things bad? Like, does that mean something bad about my progesterone or otherwise?

My temps are just sort of hanging right above coverline. I'm on progesterone supps- 300mg vaginally. If I were pg, wouldn't you expect my temps to be continuing to rise? Basically, I'm scared I'm not pg bc I don't see a continued rise in my temps, just the shift.

Do you think this is valid or am I obsessing about nothing? Please do be honest with me. I think hearing it doesn't look good now will make it easier if I don't have a bfp this cycle, kwim? Time to mentally prepare.

(also, can anyone with the time remind me that lots of women don't get bfps until after 11dpo? MP, are your bfp pics still around somewhere? )

ETA: that 2dpo temp may or may not be accurate- I was a little bit ill. I didn't feel feverish, tho

babygrey, I've come to the opinion that ttc just isn't so easy to figure out, charts or no charts, and a great chart does not = pregnant, and vice versa. That being said, I think that your coverline is falsely high because of your one high temp a few days before ovulating. You have a lot of "open circle" temps, so I'm not sure if that temp was high because of waking up late or what, but that's the reason your coverline is so high. If you ignore that temp, then your coverline would jump down and your temps would look nice and high. Does that make sense? Hang in there, 11dpo is SUPER early for a bfp!

my temps during my tww were right ON my coverline, yours are above yours.

and I didnt get my bfp until 13dpo and that one was super faint.

Anythings possible. Take a deep breath and try to relax!

Tear, you're simply lovely. and you've just proven to me that what my chart looks like doesn't mean crap! I discarded that one high temp (it was taken way later than my normal temp time anyway, most of the open circles are within 40 minutes of each other) and my cover dropped by 0.4 degrees. Sheesh. Now my temps look niiice and high. and now I know it doesn't matter.

Still BFN @ 12dpo.

Thanks, MP, I saw your 13dpo test on another thread and it makes me feel hopeful. I'm starting to hate the FF pg monitor. Over 60% of tests are bfps by 12dpo?? Gah.

okay. It is the impending 14dpo end-of-progesterone end-of-hope that has me worked up... taking deep breath. thank you, ladies.

the closer I get to that point (or past it) the more I hang on to those extreme miracle cases. At this point I'm hanging on the 0.00000000000000001% chance that at 13dpo my negative blood test is wrong. lol....sorta. Hope is quite the mixed blessing, isn't it? Here's to miracle BFPs!!! (and you're not even close to needing a miracle one yet, missie. 12dpo is nuthin, I know lots of 13-14dpo BFP ladies. Keep hopin'!)

http://www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single betabase shows 13dpo could still be too early even with a beta claiming negative!

Tear- ikwym... I'm sitting here half-considering (okay, more than half... ) taking my progesterone thru the weekend just... in... case... I'm one of those weird outliers.
I mean, MP, you're totally right (THANK YOU) 13dpo can be early for some women. Every time I start to get a tiny bit bummed about my snow-white-12dpo-FRER, I think of your faintest of faint 13dpo line and your lovely growing baby.

I'm holding hope for you, Tear.

Me? I kinda wanna get off the hope rollercoaster now, thankyouverymuch.

Thanks, love! And i TOTALLY know what you mean. It would be easier if "no meant no" from a pregnancy test and we only had to be disappointed once a month.

Now off to obsess over Mae's link.
