Flips---A Fabulous Starter Diaper!

So I'm almost a week in to our CD'ing adventure with our almost 2 yo, and really loving the Flips we got. I'm using them with the Imagine prefolds from Nicki's Diapers. They work great, no leaks, and my sons somewhat persistent diaper rash is GONE. Amazing!

Because I've been trying to do this on the cheap---my entire stash was $150, I didn't get any sort of doubler at night. I just use 2 prefolds, which makes him look like a sumo wrestler. What should I be doing? I'm happy to spend another $15 or $20. I was thinking I could just sew some sort of micro-terry to lay in the bottom with the cotton prefolds on top. Thoughts?

I like the Flip dipes too!

For night, I use 2 of the microfleece stay dry inserts put in back to back - no idea if that's the "right" way to do it, just what I tried & it worked. He looks kinda sumo-ish, but not as big as I imagine 2 pre-folds would be. He's in them for 10-12 hrs & no leaks.
