Movies you forget that you love

I'm watching Wag the Dog on FX right now. I forgot how much I love this movie. I feel like I always say that about it, though. It's like I forget about it until I stumble across it again one day and then it's a treat of sorts.

I read the same books over and over until they start to come apart at the spines, I listen to the same song on repeat when I'm driving, and I watch the same movie over and over again. When I was a kid, I watched Grease every. single. day. So it's a special thing for me to have a movie like this, where it flits in and out of my life making me happy at random moments.

I can't be the only one who does things like this. What are your random love movies?

I loved Grease as a kid too! Wore that VHS tape out... And I listen to the same songs on repeat when I'm driving too!

These days, I can watch The Breakfast Club, Love Actually, Dirty Dancing, The Big Lebowski and any old episodes of The Office or 30 Rock over and over and over.

So funny! I had my iPhone on shuffle and "It's Raining on Prom Night" came on. I was thinking how much dd would love Grease, but honestly, I just wonder about the content. I know I didn't get it until I was at least 13 and then I was wondering what the heck my mom was thinking letting me watch it.

I will watch Love Actually, The Princess Bride and any of the Lethal Weapon movies anytime.

Our family loves the first Mummy movie. If its on, we'll watch it. We also love The Postman with Kevin Costner. People make fun of him for making it, but it's really a good movie, with a good message.

Personally, I love it when it's a very rainy or snowy day and there is a great movie on and you didn't plan it, but there it is! Love in the Afternoon with Audrey Hepburn or Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland. We love to just snuggle down and watch one of those movies we forgot we loved!

oooo the illusionist! that was so good.

Also-mamalisa-- i totally know what you mean! I know I didn't get the whole picture when I was a kid watching Grease. I do remember being in my early teens and seeing the second Grease movie (awful) and being kind of horrified that my parents were letting me watch it

Good Will Hunting

Waitress

My Cousin Vinnie

Family Man

House Sitter

Heartbreakers

Burn After Reading- for some reason we all laugh hysterically (to the point of tears) during this very, very dark movie.

It's a Wonderful Life

I would have a hard time walking away from any of these.
(kind of a weird collection)

These aren't necessarily my most favorite movies but ones we have watched lots of times.
