I am a huge fan of Mothering since 1980, and have 3 grown daughters and a new grandson .... all birthed at home. We are local unschooling pioneers, and advocates of self-reliant living.
My husband (married 31 years to the same man; yes, it is possible and wonderful
) and I recently moved out of the home our kids grew up in, into a smaller home on 10 acres in the "country" north of Dallas. We have donkeys, a ram, 2 dogs, and other wildlife hanging around ... horned owl, rabbits, coyotes, snakes, tarantulas, dragonflies, birds of all kinds.
We are acclimating to our new life, and I am excited to become an 'official' part of the Mothering community! Thank you all for being here and contributing your wisdom and your gifts.
