Timing of NT scan?

Just got a call from the hospital, my NT scan is being put off for a week, so it will be done at 13.5 weeks - is that going to be a problem. Can they still measure what they need to measure then?

My understanding is that the measurements are best between 11-14 weeks, so I would think you should be ok. I had mine today at 13 w 0d if that makes you feel any better!

I was told the exactly same thing, mine is scheduled for 12w4d and they were just as happy to do it the next week.

I talked to the doc today and they said I'm ok to do it up to 13wks 6 days. I think I'll be at 13 wks 2 days when they do it next week, so I'll squeak in! Thanks for the feedback!

I was told, that it's not so much what you think you are but what the baby measures.
When I was pregnant with my first, my son wasn't "big" enough so I had to come back a week later. My dates were all off because I had no idea when my LMP was. Durr.
My second, I KNEW the second I ovulated (LOL) and I scheduled for mine at 12w on the dot and he measured 13w at that point. So had I scheduled him for 13w6d he would have been "too big".
I was told there are real measurements that coincide with the weeks that they go by. I'm guessing being too early would give false negatives and too big would give flase positives.

Just to second what PP said about it being more relevant how far along the baby measures, my friend when in for her scan ar 13w, but baby measured 14w, so they wouldn't do the scan and sent her home. If I were you, I'd call back and let them know your concern and see if they can get you in any earlier.
