Okay ladies, Here is our JULY thread. Please check your stats on the roll and make sure they are correct. And check in and let us know how you are doing!

Hi Ladies! I can't believe it's July already! Well, I obviously won't make my goal of 135 by the 4th, well, unless I lose 6 lbs in 3 days......not happening! Anyway, I fit in my clothes, so I'm ok with that. Still toning, though, and trying to get rid of this leftover belly. Hope we all have a successful month !

Hello July! Happy Canada Day to any Canadians on the board, and anyone else who feels in need of a holiday today

I asked a question at the tail end of June, and I'll ask again in July for those who didn't see it. Does anyone know of an accurate calorie counter? I've been trying to track what I eat, more or less, and the counters I've found online are wildly out of line with each other. I've been using Live Strong to track, but I think their calories are simply the result of users adding entries, because they contradict themselves at times. Like, is a grapefruit 50 calories, or 106 calories?

139.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can FINALLY say goodbye to the 140s!

Happy Canada Day

I don't count calories.. I count points and use weight watchers guides, though not paying for the program. Hmm sorry can't help ya.
Mandica, are the weight watchers guides out there somewhere for free? I looked on their website, but wasn't into paying to join a program.

Yep, just ate a calzone too, in celebration! I haven't had one in months, and I love them. So much bread, so much cheese, yum

Annie Mac,

You can google 'weight watchers points list' and a couple good ones will come up with huge lists of all foods imaginable.

You can calculate how many daily points you are allowed using this:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4871046_calc...rs-points.html

You can also calculate how many points a food item has so long as you know the calories/fat/fibre of the food here:
http://www.webmilhouse.com/pointcalc.php

Its been working for me I love how much I can eat in a day because of all the extra points I'm allowed for breastfeeding.

Thanks Mandica,
You do get a lot of points for breastfeeding! I'm at a 31 total. Next I'll have to check the WW website for the points of the food.

I'm also realizing that how much I weigh in the morning depends a lot on how much the baby fed during the night. So it really is water weight. Well, milk weight.

I'm also doing WW on my own haha, how funny! I only give myself 10 bf points instead of 12, because of all the trouble i had losing weight while nursing last time, and my milk supply has not been affected at all. It is really working for me. Breastfeeding also seems to be working for me this time too, its like the weight is just falling off, I know it is bound to slow down as I get closer to my goal. Only 15lbs left.. I weighed in at 165.1 this morning, completely mind blowing. I feel like I have to take a picture of the graph on the wii fit so you all don't think I am lying. Haha. It is so weird to see 30lbs lost on there since April. And that was not counting the 20lbs I lost on my own in the first 6 weeks postpartum! Once I reach 160, I will take an "almost after" picture and post it. And then I will post my before picture here.. yuck. Anyway, today my ds turns 4 months old! We might go celebrate at Animal Kingdom later with a few friends. Oh the joys of living right next to Disney World! (we are literally 5 minutes away.. with traffic!)

I also wanted to mention that you can join the weight watchers community message boards even without "joining" weight watchers. I'm not very active on that forum, but I still like reading and occasionally commenting.

Wow! This is an awesome but intimidating thread. You ladies are doing an amazing job losing weight. Can I join? I had a baby girl on 5/21. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 194 lbs. I was 189 when I got pregnant but honestly, I had let myself go while TTC just saying I would be pregnant soon. My small step goal is 175 lbs. Ultimately, I'd like to get to 150 lbs. I a breastfeeding, that should help but it I always crave sweets while nursing.

Count me in for accountability. I'm a historical yoyo gal, so none of that anymore! Ok?

Current Weight: 146 - Goal Weight: My PP weight of 130 (but wouldn't mind 125! We'll see!) - Total lost (since 4/24) 11lbs

Seriously contemplating WW - calorie counting makes me crazycakes. I'm also delighted they have a reliable nursing program. Calorie Counting for nursing moms leaves way too much room for error

Does anyone have completely ravenous days? I don't even want to know how many calories I consumed yesterday. I'd like to think exercise and breastfeeding somehow cancled them out, but man! I was STARVING and I swear I was eating from about 3pm to 8pm!

I've been run/walking (using a Couch25K podcast) 5x/week for the last 2 weeks. I do week one and week two in the same session, so an hour of exercise 5x/week. It's made such a huge difference in my moods (I wake up at the butt crack of dawn to do this! DD2 wont take a bottle )

Anyone else doing a (free) exercise program? If so, how are you managing staying fueled, ravenous hunger AND losing weight?

SO encouraged by all of your weight loss! Incredible!

Welcome Pacific Bliss & Carley!

PB: I crave sweets now too. Like crazy. I was never a sugar person before, although I've always liked chocolate. I used to be able to just have a cup of coffee when I wanted sugar, but now I'm off coffee. I'm getting slightly concerned about my sugar consumption, to be honest. I've noticed I get a bit dizzy/lightheaded after eating it. That can't be good.

C: And ravenous? Oh yeah. Way hungrier than when I was pregnant, and I was pretty hungry then. I feel like I'm constantly 2 days before my period, when I'm bloated, craving sugar/carbs and there's not enough food in the world. But it doesn't end in two days. It's been going on for 3 months now!

I did a looong walk the day before yesterday, and I ended sick, on the couch yesterday. No energy. Just felt awful. Today, a bit better but also not so great. I'm wondering if I just overextended myself by walking so far. It felt OK at the time though.

Of course, welcome! And don't be so hard on yourself, the fact that you are only up 5lbs from your pre-pregnancy weight at only 6 weeks pp is amazing!
The rest will come off soon! We are in similar situations too, as I had weight to lose before getting pregnant too.

Welcome (back) Carley! I am also doing C25k, I can do the 5k in about 40 minutes, trying to work on my time. I am actually NOT hungry most of the time, which is a definite strange thing to me, as usually while nursing I am completely ravenous. I am seriously starting to wonder if it is a girl/boy thing, because this is my first boy, and also the first time that I am able to actually lose weight while nursing, and not starving all the time!
