Queer Conceptions - July - Page 20

Scarlett~ If she's not due 'til Sunday or Monday, I think this cramp and bloat is a good sign. It's hard to do, but keep your chin up!
Scarlett I know how that feels when you just know it didn't work. But I'm really hoping you're wrong!

So I think that's Library, Gelly, Painefaria, Max and me, all within a couple days of each other right? Crazy lol.

We insemmed tonight, and we're planning to mid-morning tomorrow and probably early morning Sunday. So we should have some great coverage this cycle lol. My OPK is *still* positive. Not sure what to make of that. My CM doesn't seem as good as last cycle. I was hoping it'd be better since I'm only taking progesterone after O, but I was on a higher clomid dosage, plus last few days I've been having so much heartburn it's been hard to take all my vitamins and drink the grapefruit juice and water. We're using preseed so hopefully together that'll be enough.

Wow that is a lot of us testing the first week of August That is going to be some week! I definitely ovulated sometime between yesterday and this morning so now we wait ... I am hoping that the due date is an indicator of a sticky babe because it is the same due date as DS (4/15/11)! Good luck to everyone that is still insemming, have fun
post #384 of 486
This is quite a 2ww crew for sure! And yes, Painefaria, I looked up the possible due date too, and I'm hoping that Tax Day means something significant. It seems even more significant for you, so that'd be excellent.

My temp went up today, not a lot but it did jump, so that's very good. Now it's just waiting and wondering. So glad I'm not alone.

What news about everyone else? Scarlett? 5G?
Me too (on testing) - we had our IUI on Wednesday. Exciting!!! We need some serious baby dust around here!

Argh!!! What's going on with my chart? *still* no thermal shift? It was slightly higher today but then I was about an hour late taking it. Even back before my low progesterone was medicated at all, I still saw a pronounced thermal shift. Anyone have any ideas? I guess this could explain another reason I might not have gotten pregnant last cycle.
Bunny it looks like it will probably spike tomorrow - lots of people (myself included sometimes) have a slow rise after ovulation, like stair steps, rather than any giant spike. It looks like you got a nice ovulation dip yesterday!
WEHRLI! I'm sooooo happy for you! Congratulations and I hope you have a smooth, boring, uneventful 9 months of blissful pregnancy

And congrats gumshoegirl too! MEGA BABY DUST around here right now, nice work!

Scarlett I think it's too early too! For some reason, the internet, with the intermittent I GOT A BFP AT 6 DPO! post, can shifted normalcy for people: 12 DPO is the average "early" positive!

5g , and what I said to scarlett. Any good news from the beta?

Question for anyone who's had a trigger shot:
how much control over your O date do you have? I almost always O on CD 17. Since we have to fly our KD in from so far (10 hr flight, 7 hr time difference), and he's used up almost all his vacation time coming here the last 2 times, we want to see if we can get him a ticket to be here for just 2 or 3 days. I know we can use the biotranz to keep some for a day or two after he leaves (we did that last time). If we can do this, it will be WAY less disruptive than having him take a week+ off. What do you think? (Xposted to Infertility and TTC).
Oh yeah, Bunny! Meant to reply to you too. Put in fake high temps for the next two days and I bet it will pinpoint O. even if I have an INSANE thermal shift (well, the *one* time I did ) I still have to have 3 above the coverline before I get crosshairs.

Go Sarah! This may be the most 2ww at one time! Come on, let us have an April Shower of babies!!!

The doc let DP do the 'squirt' yesterday~ while I was on the table, he said "Come on, you want to help?" And then he got it all set up and she pushed the plunger. Then he said "I'll bet that's it, that's just the luck you were needing." He's such a nice guy and a good doc. He really wants this for us, which is so wonderful, especially in this part of the country.

Come on TWW sistahs!!!!

Bunny - Your charts look a lot like mine. My thermal shift ALWAYS happens over 2 days. FF never gives me a + on ovulation until 3 days after it happens.

Congrats

Congrats to you July conceivers :d
Unfortunately I received AF and will be trying again next month....a bit earlier this time....GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
SO SORRY Dykemom~ big hugs!!! Get yourself a basal body temperature tomorrow and get into the magical world of charting. You never knew so much about your body. Best of luck next time xoxo
post #394 of 486
Dykemom sorry to hear you got AF. I second the suggestion to get a basal body temperature thermometer. You may also want to try ovulation predictor kits, which you can get really cheap online. I got mine on ebay.

Thanks for the advice about my chart. I'm not really worried about fertility friend predicting O, so much as me figuring out when it *really* is. I'm just confused between the positive OPK but still no thermal shift.

I tried plugging in higher temperatures, but basically it just shows ovulation whenever I have 3 higher temps in a row. So like if I put a higher temp tomorrow, it'll show O today, but if I put higher temps in starting Monday, it shows O tomorrow, etc.

I dunno maybe I'm just stressing too early and it'll all be clear in a few days. We're going to insem in a few minutes here (our donor is actually here chatting with us right now and I'm being rude being on the computer for a sec lol) and then again tomorrow morning, and then we're headed back home. But I'm also worried about how to predict things for next month if we need to, so we can figure out what time to take off work and stuff.

Hey folks - I'm here...again...

It's been 27 months since I last inseminated, the result of which is playing in the living room!

And here I am again, lying on the bed with my legs in the air! I guess we're back in the game!

Last time it took us 9 months to get knocked up via KD DIY insem. Hopefully this time will be a bit quicker.

Last time I had been charting for years. This time I have a kid that wakes hourly all night long and accurate charting is impossible...so I'm kinda winging it - which is better for my mental health anyway...let's hope it translates to better fertility!

Am gonna go back and catch up on who you all are and where you're at. I'm glad to be here with you!

MMM!!! I am so glad you are back. How is Squeak? Colette is getting so big, but you know all about that, huh? They are just a month apart.

We're trying again, too. I just had an ultrasound this morning and have two mature follicles. We triggered tonight and have an IUI scheduled for 8:15 Monday morning! I am not charting anymore, either. Much, much too hard with a 19 month old in my bed!

welcome MMM hopefully your stay is short and sweet

Your shift looks fine. I have months that it just takes me a little time to "jump". I am sure that this mornings temp will continue to go up.
I really hate my laptop sometimes. This is my 3rd time having my message erased somehow.

my temp went back down. Could prednisone be keeping it low? I wanted to see the shift before I went on prometrium, but I don't want to wait *too* long to go on it and risk being way too low progesterone. My CM is back to creamy and my cervix is a bit lower. I think it's basically impossible that I could have had an anovulatory cycle considering I've always ovulated fine on my own, and now I'm on 100mg clomid too.

For some reason I'm massively crabby today too, which especially sucks since we've got a loooong road trip ahead of us.

Good Morning all~ and Hello MMM. I'm glad you've come back to join us, glad to meet you! Hope it's quick and easy this time.

Bunny~ Sorry about your temp, so frustrating! Let us know how it goes.

AFU~ DP's birthday party last night, lots of costumes and wacky fun (with no beer for me). My temp went up again a bit today, enough for me to feel good about a steady rise. Still having kind of eggy cm. Anyone had that? I'm sure I've ovulated, but it's still eggy. Odd.

Sorry I'm rambling~ kind of all over the place this morning. Good luck to all!
