TTC #1 in our 30s--July - Page 3

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone!

I'm now about 9 DPO and I'm still waiting to test. I haven't felt nauseous but I've had a total lack of appetite for about three days, now...which for me is BIZARRE! I've been really belch-y, too! I've also had a bout of diahrrea over the last couple days. All of these things are not things I experience regularly. My breasts are not really sore anymore, though. I'm exhausted but that could be because we spent the weekend at a family reunion and I stayed up past my bedtime to hang out with cousins I only see once a year.

Trying to stay positive. After all, if I'm not pregnant, it just means I get to drink good wine in France!

Amandamom--I'm saving my French test from Jenne too until I know for sure it will be positive. CONGRATS on upcoming wedding and honeymoon! I went to Dublin as a teenager but don't remember much about it. I was staying w/family in rural Ireland and my cousin got me drunk for the first time, gave me my first cigarette, my first pot, I made out w/someone for the first time (during said first-time drunk)--bad, bad cousin! I think Irish teens may have cleaned up their act somewhat since then. Maybe you can get some gaelic pregnancy tests?

Lauraska--you're one day ahead of me. I, too, have been really gassy/belchy, which in the past has been a sign my period is coming on but she's not due for another three or four days and it started yesterday or maybe the day before. I also imagine my abdomen is sore. I say imagine because it's there if I think about it but not really severe enough that I know I'd notice it otherwise, but that was the most prominent pregnancy sign I had with my lone BFP a few months ago.

In the TTC resources folder, there's a thread of BFP testimonials I was reading last night. Some people did say gassiness was an early sign, but what was sort of reassuring to me was just how many people said they had NO noticeable symptoms whatsoever.

I hope we're both pregnant but if not here's to both of us sampling France's most famous wares!

FertileMyrtle--Charting was WAY eye-opening for me. I spent all last summer freaking out that I had no cervical mucus, and wondering why I wasn't getting pregnant. Well, I finally started charting, and lo and behold, I was ovulating about 5 days later than I thought, with a shorter LP. It turns out I have plenty of CM, it just doesn't tend to come out too much on its own. But checking at my cervix, I was very easily able to anticipate when I was about to O, especially once I got a better sense of my individual patterns (creamy, then watery, then 3-4 days of EWCM). I've never used OPKs because they seem really complicated/confusing and for me the CM combined wiht temping is very accurate and easy to understand. Although it didn't work out, we got a BFP my second month charting. I bet as you keep doing it, you'll get to understand your patterns and figuring out when you are going to O will get a lot easier. Good luck!

Thanks Blanca

I think I'll have to get up in there to check CM. LOL!

Here's an embarrassing question re: cervical fluid. Does semen interfere with figuring out your CM? The whole day after we have sex I'm a lot more wet with his stuff, and so I've been a little confused as to how I'd tell what's what. This is only my second month without an IUD (second month married!) and so I've noticed EWCM in the past when I've gone to the bathroom, but now that I'm looking, it's so different!

CD 23--and my temp shot up this morning half a degree! Woohoo! While FF refuses to pick a coverline for me, TCOYF thinks it's below today's temp. So maybe, just maybe! I'm hopeful, but not holding my breath...could be another psych-out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
There's not been a lot of 'action' lately, so while I'll be *so* relieved to have proof I'm O'ing on my own, I'm not super-positive about the chances of pregnancy. Either way I win, I guess, but I'd just rather be pg, if it's all the same...
I've got a pet theory that this cycle is running about 10 days behind, maybe because it had to be induced to start? I think the chart might bear this out in the end, but we shall see.

Yay! I think FF is often dumb. It certainly sounds like you O'd to me. I'm hoping this is your cycle!

Trying to put my chart up. I got a dip today 7 dpo and they say that could be an implantation dip...

I'm not sure how to put my chart in my profile or make it part of my signature... working on it.

Can I join in?

Anna, 31, TTC #1, first try.

Have lots of symptoms but so far (11 DPO) a couple of BFN. I have to say I'm positive in my mind that something's happening... so I'm trying to hold off on testing again till Friday or Saturday to avoid any further frustration.

I cannot believe how obsessed I got with the 2WW even my first go round. I guess that's the kind of person I am.... anyway take care everyone! Good luck!

Welcome Anna and cb718! Crossing my fingers for your BFN's to turn into BFP's! Maybe this board will bring you a little luck.

fertilemyrtle - Your link worked fine. You have to purchase a certain membership to add a link to your signature, I think, but you can set it as your homepage link in your profile. That implantation dip looks promising!!

Blanca - I will keep an eye out for gaelic pregnancy tests. Fingers crossed for you!

AFM, I think I ovulated this week, which means I will get my period before our trip. That's good news! On the other hand, it also means I will most likely ovulate while in Ireland. I doubt DP will allow me to find a cute Irish guy to squirt in a cup for us, so that means taking off another cycle. I'm certain this trip will be totally worth it. Then we will come back relaxed, refreshed, and ready!

Also, I had some tinge of spotting today. I've never had spotting until last month, right around suspected ovulation (I wasn't temping so I don't know). Now again this month, but this time 7 days after ovulation.

We'll see in a few weeks

Thanks for the welcome!

Yesterday, I was really thinking I was pregnant. I'm way more confused today. For the last 3-4 days I've had a little spotting and cramps on and off. But then more intense cramps yesterday and this morning, what looked like it could be the beginning of my period. Significantly more CM - some more red than pink or brown. Very confusing. Guess I'll see what happens today and maybe take a test tomorrow.

What worries me most about parenthood is how I'll continue working. I think I'd like to be part-time, but am not sure that's a possiblity at current employer.

What I'm looking forward to is everything else! (Except the lack of sleep )

Hi everyone! CB718--how old are you? (So I can list you at the beginning of the thread.)

Fertilemyrtle--Exciting! Also, I will link to your chart.

Annaconda--any word?

I will add the new folks sometime today. Is anyone interested in threadkeeping for next month? It's super easy and it's fun.

I ask because it just MIGHT be possible I have a bit of threadkeeper's luck to pass on? I'm 11DPO. AND....This is the first cycle since I started charting last fall when I have NOT gotten a temperature drop 11DPO. Dare I hope?

I'm going to test again (yesterday was BFN) this afternoon...will keep you all posted!

Well, maybe I spoke too soon. I don't know. I just got a BFN, but it was 3rd morning's urine on 11DPO--so I know a BFN probably doesn't mean anything. I have two Dollar Tree tests left--I'll try again later today and then tomorrow morning, I guess.

Blanca - It's probably just too early. Stay away AF!

Well, a decent temp drop this morning--not huge, but enough to make me lose (most) hope. Another BFN. I would guess I'll get AF tonight or tomorrow, but we'll see...It's okay. I'm bummed but on the bright side this means my luteal phase is getting stronger...

POOP. I'm sorry, hon. I was really hopeful for you! I hope your temp goes back up again! I know it's infuriating, but so many weird things happen that you really can't call yourself out until AF comes.

So 11 DPO eve and 12 DPO morn I had very very strong cramps. Yesterday morning I had about 20 minutes of extreme pain sensation in the center of my lower back (accompanied by cramping all around, back and front.) I'm excited, still have veins standing up off the BBS (even DH can tell on this.)

So... if that back pain was implantation... and I hold off testing till Sunday AM (15 DPO) maybe I'll have some great news!!! FXFXFXFXFXFXFX
