My patience is running thin, too!

Our babies are the same age! DD just turned 21 months.
I think it's interesting that we're all nursing, but some more than others.
How often do all your LO's nurse?
DD is down to just once or twice a day, maybe for a few min (nap and bedtime). I'm not planning on tandem nursing, and would like to make it to 2 years, but at this point whatever happens, happens. I'm happy with how far we've made it and as long as the process is gentle, am cool w/weaning.
How about you guys?

AFM - I'm still waiting to O. CD7 here. Can't wait for things to get exciting!

Babycakes: My DD is 17 months. She nurses like a fiend! Can ask multiple times per hour. I think it ends up being 8-10 times/day. We just re night weaned last week - so hopefully it stays this time. I would like to cut down the day nursing and had started to at least put her on a schedule but then she got sick. I need to get back to that so I can start dropping a feed here or there. I plan to nurse until 2 as well and maybe longer. I don't think I will tandem though unless it is just 1x per day for DD at that point. I had a low milk supply with DD and likely will need all the milk I make for a new baby.

AFM: Cycle day 6 here. Started 100 mg of B6 in addition to the vitex so we'll see what happens. Hopefully I will O earlier than day 33 this time!

veganprincess~i've also had supply issues with all my nurslings . Pretty much worked it out to me making about 2 oz per 2 hrs, and that's if my baby is nursing well (like every hour and a half-2 hrs.) So we've been using formula twice a day (4 oz each) since she was about 4 months. She's still not even in the 5th precentile, though , but was tiny at birth....my smallest at 6lbs 2oz. My last ds didn't start the supps til he was about 9 mos, but it always ends up there. But hey, I'm happy to give em as much as I can for as long as I can!!!

Hope you O sooner this cycle .

tropicana and rubthyneighbor~welcome!!!!!

jennabella~

babycakes~We nurse about 8 times per day and probably 3-4 times a night in addition to 8 oz of formula total per day **gasp** lol. But she's only 9 1/2 mos old .

I'm 7 dpo according to ff and now itching to test big time!!!!!! If my lp is back to its usual 11 days, when is reasonable to test? I'm thinking 10 dpo, which will be sunday......

Jessica: Sorry you've had supply issues too! I'm just glad that despite the low supply, we have a strong nursing relationship - and that is what really matters the most. :-) I'm not sure when to test. 10 days seems reasonable - but I got a negative at 10 DPO w/DD.

Does anyone know if B6 can make you O early? I had what felt like O pains today, on cycle day 6. I hadn't been taking OPKs bc it's too early. I took one this evening and it was negative but I could have missed a surge if I was already feeling pains. I guess only time will tell if my temps go up!

I'd like to join, again.

We started TTC in January, conceived in March and miscarried at 8 weeks in May. It's been 8 weeks since my d&c, finally got AF 6 weeks after d&c, and am expecting to O in the next week.

My dd is almost 20 months and nurses A LOT! She was down to 2-3 times during the day and unlimited access during the night, but recently she's been asking for milk quite frequently during the day. It's making me a little crazy!

I'm also 7 DPO and planning (if I can wait that long!) to test on Sunday.

I've only read that B6 helps lengthen your LP. Were they strong O pains or do you think it could have just been some odd cramping, or maybe a gear up to O? W/a negative opk, maybe you're just gearing up? When I'm O'ing my pains last a few days.

Hi Everyone-

I haven't had time to read the recent posts; I just started full-time training for a job I was recently hired for (the job will actually be part-time--which is what I want) So we have been adjusting from me being home full-time to full-time child care.

I mostly wanted to say that I am now in the 2ww period . I think our timing for DTD was pretty good, but would have liked one more day (I was too tired). I did have a clear temp shift and ovulation signs--I wasn't even sure if that would happen this cycle as it is my first pp cycle. I'm hoping for a BFP in the next 10 days or so, but I'm trying to be very Zen about it and not be too upset if we have to try again next month.

I hope life is treating all of you well.

Well, looks like I'm still dealing with LPD My luteal phase was officially 6 days!

Af arrived yesterday afternoon....boooooooooooo!! So, my O day last cycle is NOT correct. Either I didn't O at all or it was later. So much for getting back on track...I go from a 42 day cycle to a 26 . All that waiting, and even if we did catch the eggie, its being washed away as we speak. Alright, I'm done crying like a baby now....

jennabella~good luck to you!

hannybanany~welcome!

earthmama~

veganprincess~I agree, I've only read it lengthens lp....

Oh no! What a bummer! I hope it was just a fluke or something. 2 cycles ago, I had a short LP and then I o'ed early. I think our bodies need to play catch up or something sometimes.

So sorry to hear this!

I ended up testing this morning at 8 DPO, which is silly and of course it was BFN. Now I'm going to try to wait until Sunday, but we'll see.

I haven't been on in ages. I am making myself back off from the forum a bit because it's too hard on me while waiting for AF to reappear. It's been almost a year since I'm sure I ovulated and now nearly 8 months since I've had AF. DD nurses 3 times a day and I am seriously considering cutting her back even more if not completely weaning. Right now I am in the middle of the great Vitex experiment. I'm about 3 weeks in to taking vitex (800 mg a day) and I have noticed a change. I'm just not sure it's a good one. I hovered for months mostly at soft, high, partly open, and creamy cf. Any OPKs I took were negative but somewhat dark. After taking vitex, I am more often than not medium or firm, low or midway, and sticky or creamy. Also, my OPKs have been so faint! I have had ewcf a few times but without it amounting to anything. Today, though, ewcf is back and my opk is the darkest I've seen it since starting vitex (but still lighter than the average pre-vitex opk). I am hoping this is leading somewhere, because if it doesn't, weaning may be the next option. At least DD just turned two, so we made that goal, but she is *so* attached to nursing that weaning will be rough if I have to do it.

Good luck to everyone else, and congrats to all the bfps I've missed!

I'm starting to get the itch to test early too! But I'm going to try to wait until 14 dpo--I just want to know

Babycakes--my DD is about 17 1/2 months old and nurses quite a bit. I recently start 8 weeks of full-time training (2 weeks down; 6 to go) so she is not nursing during the day, but when I get home she nurses like every 5 minutes (or at least that's how it feels). Prior to my return to work she nursed probably 3-5 times during the day and 1-3 times at night. At the rate she nurses I figure that I will be doing some tandem nursing--especially if we were successful this cycle

Everyone-- on ovulating and getting BFPs in the near future

Just chiming in to say that I am still waiting for my first pp ovulation. My little one will be 14 mos. old next week, and she is still nursing like nobody's business. I've read that menstruation returns on average around 14 mos. for ecological bf'ers but we will see. I know it is different for everyone! I went through a few months there where having another so soon seemed crazy, but that also coincided with my DD learning to walk and getting into everything... I am starting to get anxious again! Haha I am hoping that we'll be pregnant before the end of this year. I'd be thrilled... I know I have to be patient with my body and with her needs, I don't want to wean her prematurely by any means... Good luck to you all.

zwitterion~ hope you O soon or just get AF so you can move onto ttc .

I'm on cd17 and still haven't O'd yet. had ewcm on cd 9 & 10 and then some yesterday on cd 16.

SoCaliMommy - Hope you O soon! I always hate the waiting to O part... I would almost rather be in the TTW.

AFM:

11 DPO. BFN. Temp dropped low this morning, but not below the coverline - but close, only 2/10th above the coverline. I'm not sure how long my luteal phase is these days because this is the first month I've been consistently charting temps in a long while.

Am I out?

Hi everyone. I'm new here and a ftm to almost 8 month old Declan. He took us 8 years, 3 miscarriages and a molar pregnancy to finally be here with us. So we are starting now because we don't know how long the next one is going to take. He is the light of our lives though and I am so he is here.

I had one af pp so far and that was 41 days ago. My dog ate my thermometar so I hadn't been temping. I bought a new one last night along with a pregnancy test. Both last night and early morning were neg. I don't know if I should start temping now or if I should wait till af comes again?

Also I don't know what I should be "under" on the first post? Here is my Chart, though. I'm so happy to be here and I kinda hope my stay is short, no offense to any of you nice ladies.
