*Bitter Sushi Ladies - July*

Thread Starter
Welcome to the July thread, ladies!!!!

Most of us are former ttc 6+ month ladies. And at this point, many of us are at or past 12 months, many have had losses, many are dealing with various forms of infertility, and some are just in a waiting period until they can ttc again.

the name? well... We tend to be a little bitter sometimes. So read with care . And due to everything, our emotions run a little raw like sushi. Too many cycles of BFN and CD1 sushi + sake to console ourselves. This ttc business is something that seems to "just happen" for so many... But we just can't get "it" right. So this is where we can "be together", share and express anything.

Some of us have gotten a little quieter lately... There is only so much you can post in the "i want to be pg, but i'm not" category. However we are here in spirit and most likely lurking!

I started a new thread... I didn't want us to be tardy...

(I know, who cares?... me, I guess...)
lol, jenger you're an awesome threadmistress! Thanks!

Apricot, I think it's possible to O up to 48 hours after a positive OPK, isn't it? Could you just be ovulating today? That would go along with that nice low temp. I hope that you get a nice, steady rise starting tomorrow. Now I have to go back and look at your chart again, but with Clomid I think you typically ovulated around day 14. hm....I'm no expert on that though. Good luck!

Thanks jenger!

I've started working out a ton lately and really putting all my efforts into losing weight. When I told my DH this, he said, "ya know, that's how you got pregnant last time." Which is kind of true. I had started a work out program two months before I got pregnant last time, losing almost 20lbs quickly during those two months (which I managed to keep off until the m/c where I am sure I ate my weight in chocolate). I would give anything just to lose 20lbs again. Oh, how I wish that would happen. I don't care anymore about a baby coming at some perfect convenient time (like not in the middle of nursing school). We've decided we won't be trying any more interventions for at least 5 more years which sounds like a nightmare for me but after a long talk, we both know this is for the best. We will not be using birth control at any point during that time and welcome any pregnancies that come our way naturally during that time, but we just don't feel comfortable moving forward medically until we are both totally done with school. It's insane for me to even try and imagine the next 5 years passing by without a pregnancy so I am hoping that it won't come to that, but it's just nice to be on the same page now.

Also, I just watched a show called Pregnant at 70 and I want to scream into a pillow now. I know it was with donor eggs and IVF, but still, come on. The story made me cry though because the lady lived in India (where they were ridiculed and gossiped about constantly) and her and her husband had been praying for a child for 50 years.

Thanks for the new thread! My internet is still extremely unreliable, but SUPPOSEDLY they (Fairpoint ) are fixing it this month. If so I am happy to do August or September!

Back later! Kisses!

OK, ladies. So I am having some cramping at 8 dpo (like twinges, every now and again, deeeep inside). That's a good sign, yes? Dare I be hopeful? With my unusual spotting (never happened before) I almost wonder if I might have a little hope. This would be our last natural cycle before IVF (well, natural with clomid)...

Twingy good...me too!! It must be good. I should write it down each cycle. It never seems to warrant being written down, but I can't remember if I have only had it when pregnant or not. They don't have "twingy" (Is there an "e" in there?) listed as a symptom on FF, just cramps.
i noted it. got what felt like ovulation pain every cycle at 6dpo except this one.

This cycle, at 6dpo, it was more of a poking feeling... like I had something sharp stuck down in there, rather than like something was pulling at my ovaries.

sort of like... when i had tonsils i would sometimes get food stuck behind them and it would poke at me until I got it free (i had large tonsils, i suppose most people would not get this reference but thats what it felt like only down just above my pubic bone)

whereas the usual 6dpo feelings was more like someone had tied a string around my ovaries and was pulling on it... a whole different sort of sensation.
I usually get twinges at 7dpo. Usually only on one day.

What's new ladies?!?!? I'm so sorry I've been MIA- I turned in my notice yesterday, and have been incredibly busy prepping the new office the last few weeks, so very sorry for not keeping up with everyone I am back though I've been on the Lupron for a little over 10 days now, the mood swings are FINALLY starting to subside. I start my stim injects on Sunday, the egg retrieval is tentatively scheduled for the 17th of July, but it depends on how well I respond. Embie transfer is tentatively scheduled for the 21st! I don't have time to be stressed or even thinking about TTC this month, so I'm hoping that will cause it to work! I'll check back tomorrow and I wanna see some updates on everyone! I'm too lazy to go to the old thread
Oh yeah and

Ooh, Maurine, looks like a beautiful implantation dip on 7dpo! for you!

Hum de dum, I'm 2dpo. Has anyone yet invented a game to help the first week of the TWW pass by more quickly??? This is soooo the boring part. I mean, the second half I stress about testing, but at least I can *do* something then!!!
Thanks for the new thread, fresh start for all of us.

Baby dust Nanette.

I'm still waiting for most of my results from cd3 bloodwork, damn lab, so far everything has come back normal including my thyroid which I was wondering, have to get all the results before I make my next apoimment with the RE, I decided to do progesterone this cycle this time 400 mg, so we'll see, we are taking a break next month due to DH traveling out of the country so I'll test progesterone then, My RE wont prescribe me Progesterone until she sees the results from all thel tests including progesterone, but my regular ob did so why not it can't hurt right. Other than that infertility sucks, but life is good in all other aspects.

Maurine, I think you should be very optimistic with a dip and spotting and twinges. I am sorry that my last post wasn't encouraging. I have never spotted during LP and I would be over the moon excited if I did. My own twinges let me down by showing up over and over. But really, if you have not noticed them in other cycles while TTC then they are new for you and you should definitely consider them PGish until proven otherwise.

I am 9dpo and I am actually grumpy with everything symptoms-related for my own personal reasons. I love symptoms. I want them to mean everything. I like my round full boobies they are cute even if they are meaningless. I am grateful to be able to have a TWW. But I'm just kinda tired IYKWIM. I am also sad about Tear and about life being not-fair. I ended up feeling like I should stay off here mostly because I didn't have positive enough things to say.

I had a big dip yesterday. I want it to be PG but I think I just messed up taking my temp. I was a little short on sleep (4.5 hours when I temped), it was a little chilly that night, and I started to get up to turn off the alarm before I stopped myself and immediately lay down and temped. That temp was 97.2 but I snuggled under the blankets for almost an hour without moving and took my temp again and it was 96.89 which would be WELL below my coverline. That doesn't even seem right. Would getting up for 3 seconds make your temp lower? Would it even make any difference if you caught yourself and took your temp 3 seconds after that? Anyhow I charted my first temp which is pretty low then I have that other one that's crazy low that I'm not counting. And then of course I am telling myself maybe it means something and maybe not and you won't know until afterwards.

I read that 2/3 of apparent implantation dips on 7 and 8 dpo are indeed implantation, while 1/3 of them are not PG charts. I had a smaller dip last month .

KMFX for you ALL!!!!!

Me too Rochelle! It's time for me to pretend that the ice cream has birth control in it!

Nanette! I was just thinking about you! It's all so exciting!

AFM: I'm hating on the Clomid. I'm hot and sweaty, migraine-ish, and just feel like crap! I hope it works this month because I don't think I can tolerate another month! And it's only CD9! :yawning
post #19 of 489
CD 2.

I didn't even cry when AF came this month. Didn't really feel anything (aside from the massive cramping and bloating).

Then today it hit me.

I took DD to an amusement park with a friend of mine's little girl who is 1 year older than DD. EVERYWHERE I looked there were pregnant people. Seriously. Everywhere. Tiny babies. Big round glowing bellies. Beautiful yellow sun dresses covering up beautiful pregnant bellies. I saw women caressing their precious babies inside of them and it tore me in two.

I should be wearing those sun dresses. I should be caressing my baby belly.

I wondered why I was so crabby today. I felt like I kept telling the girls to hurry up and get to the next ride, etc. Then I came home and DH and I had a stupid fight over something so dumb..but here I am sitting here bawling because I just realized what the heck the real issue is.

I think I just need a good soak in the tub and a big session. I'm looking forward to the time in my cycle where I actually feel optimistic.

Nanette56 - ! Nice to see you back. I'm following your IVF journey with bated breath.
