I didn't pay any attention at all (except maybe subliminally) to the becoming a professional thread because I wasn't thinking in that vein at all back then. Maybe y'all helped spark that thought, though our acupuncturist helped nudge that idea along too.
I have no idea of the difference betweeen a nutritionist and a registered dietician so I should go read the thread. And I'm bummed to read more and realize that all, or almost all, classes for CST are limited to folks who are already hands-on types of HCP (DOs, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, like that). Seems like I should be able to make something work though--because that's the thing that seems really valuable soon, for our family, not even so much for income. Though... hmmm, the idea of income, just some part-time income, and working from home, say an extra bedroom, wow, that could be nice. Not as a full second income so much as supplemental income when the kids are old enough to keep themselves occupied for, say, an hour at a time (DD is 6 now, so even with little ones, it's not a long, long time in the future).
I'm sorry it's not turning out to be a good weekend.
Kathy, the stress of worrying about cancer is huge, I can totally see that taking a toll, especially given that you've been feeling a bit marginal for a while anyway. I'd say roll the dice on the augmentin being the correct antibiotic for your current UTI (that's the issue, right? Your doc cultures to see which antibiotic is effective because sometimes it's one and other times it's a different one?)... It's 4th of July weekend, trying to get someone's attention to culture now is really an uphill battle, seems like a 50% chance that the augmentin will help (how often is it augmentin vs the other choice?) and if you're right, then you're starting to feel better in a couple days, if not, it's still easier to get a doc's time/attention on, say, Tues or Wed.
JR--try more massage? To see if that helps more, though I'm glad he's starting to feel better.
to him too. Dang, lots of not-great-holiday-weekends around here. It's gray here, but that's ok.
CS--sorry to hear about the no-show at your NAET appt, that's strange. I guess leave a message (if they have a voice mail service) and ask what's up? Hopefully nothing really bad happened to anyone in the office, hopefully it was a simple goof. If I were keeping up more on the astrology-related stuff, I could probably come up with a good reason for weird happenings--it's supposed to be an intense summer, gotta say I'm not feeling it so far. Maybe I'm intensitied-out after the last few years.
