Gross banana poop question

Ok, I know that this is a gross question, but I have to ask. So, I know that when given banana, they can get those little wormy like fibers in their poop. It's happened before with us and they were little and brown.

Can the fiber like pieces be red? My DS has been having red ones in his poop. He's only had a tiny bit of banana over the last few days but doesn't poop very often so it's hard to tell if it would be out of his system by now.

I've been trying not to worry, but this morning he has a little bit of a fever and is super cranky. May be totally unrelated to the poop.

So, is bright red wiggly poop creatures just banana or possibly something else?

Thank you so much!

I only have experience with my DD who is almost 7.5 months old, but she's definitely never had any red in her banana poops (and she's eaten a lot of banana!).

I'd call the doctor to ask, that doesn't sound normal. The brown wormy fibers are normal, red itsn't.
