Alright, here we are into July! You would think that as the months went on I would get more used to the time moving quickly but every time I start a new month's thread I'm baffled that we're already in a new month - I guess that's a good thing though.

So how's everyone enjoying their Summer? Anyone taken any vacations yet? How difficult has it been with your LO's for those that have gone? DH and I haven't gone yet, we write the drama for a Bible Camp we are involved in every Summer and they always have one each month and in between we're finding new actors and practicing - so Summer isn't really Summer until camps are over - we'll probably take a vacation in August. I've finally decided to chop my hair off - it's just always in the way and takes too long to do anything with, I'm just going shoulder length though - I'm too chicken and too round in the face for anything shorter, lol. Well gotta run and get some things done around the house, TTFN!

No vacation really for us yet, but we are going on a road trip for the 4th! about 6 hours one way.

Gabe has 2 teeth now. nothing much else new. thought I might be preggo again, but no, it is just a long crazy cycle (they came back at 4 months PP). Wouldn't mind if we were, but wouldn't mind if we werent, IYKWIM.

How are the other Novembabes doing?

Things are going good for us! We are taking our first out-of-state trip this weekend so it should be interesting. Going to visit my sister & BIL in Ft Worth and it's an 8.5 hour drive WITHOUT the baby so this should be interesting! :P

DD is doing wonderful. She's finally consistently sleeping through the night, from about 9pm-6am, eats, and then sleeps until 8-9ish. She's a happy little gal but she is go, go, go. She started crawling about a month ago now and she is pulling herself up to stand. I can't believe she's old enough to do these things. Still no teeth although she's teething like CRAZY.

Happy July everyone!

We are going to my grandparents' house this weekend for the 4th. It's about 6 hours away. It will be our longest car trip since Zion was born, although we did travel to Mexico in May. Zi slept terribly on our vacay to MX, so hoping for NOT a repeat of that this weekend.

She is fighting a cold right now; she has had an on-off fever the past two days and last night slept almost 13 hours, which was amazing yet I woke up hurting in one breast because she hadn't nursed off of it in forever!

Zi is my ray of sunshine, she is happy 99.9% of the time, which is so cute because she smiles with all 6 teeth in view. She wants so badly to be mobile but hasn't figured it out yet. She loves to stand holding my hands and tries to let go of them but falls of course.

Holy cow, I cannot get over these babes that are pulling themselves up to furniture!! Wow!! I hope I have a few more months before that happens here!

No teeth here yet, although I should feel his gums, as something may have popped through without me noticing.

His hair is starting to really come in nicely, with a bit of curl. I looooove it...mmm. I am looking down at him now, asleep on my boob and feel like these days are passing too quickly. It makes me a little sad that he can't be small like this for a bit longer. I am definitely enjoying this baby more than I did the first time around...must have been too nervous or worried or uptight then, not sure!

Got to wear him today in our Canada Day parade. We decorated our company vehicle and DS1 and me (with baby 2 wrapped) walked alongside DH for the parade route. I have this lovely wrap that my brother's German fiancee lent me, it's purple & pink gradation turning to red, and we were all dressed in red and white...fun!

We are really enjoying his hearty little chuckle. His big brother has started to take an interest in him and will sing to him the instant he cries. Sweet!

Forgot to add that he's in his next carseat, still rear-facing. No holiday plans yet, but possibly a visit to the SF Bay Area in the fall to visit family. With any luck we will fly, as DS2 hates car rides!

My little Annabelle crawls around everywhere and is unstoppable. I was kind of hoping for a late bloomer in that department. We don't have any out of town plans for the 4th, but in a couple weeks, I'll take an out of town trip, about 3 hours I think. And then another 4 hour trip at the end of the month. I'm hoping she's a good little traveler.

She typically sleeps from 1-5, I think. And after nursing at 5 will typically sleep until 7, then 10. No real complaints about sleeping here, though I do wish she would go to bed earlier than one.

Oh my... Jess, I LOVE your hair!! So jealous! Mine was about that long about a year and a half ago, and for some reason I cut it up to my jawline Been trying to grow it back ever since.

Love the wrap too!!

had to bump us!

I crocheted my first wool soaker, I am not sure how usable it is, b/c I need to make it a smidge bigger in the waist and in the legs, but here are pics:

I told DH, well, it is my first one, and I still have plenty of yarn to try for a second one!

Gabe handled the fireworks fantasticly! didn't cry and was entranced by the lights. He hasn't got any new skills, but does have 1 and 1/2 tooth!

How are your LOs doing?

Awesome!! I think it looks great, and I like the yarn! Did you lanolize it?

Your LO is a cutie pie

We went to the farmers market for the 4th.

Front teeth!

I love this little guy so much

Xavi and his Gramma, its hard to remember now that his hair was so dark when he was a NB!

He was totally into fireworks, and had a great time. He loves going to big crowds where he can people watch.

not yet, I had just put it on for a test fit. I will lanolize when I get the second one done that should be a better fit. I forget the brand, but it is 100% wool I found at Michael's . . .about $5 a skein. they have a brand called all about sheep that had some nice colors, though I think I am going to try fleece next, because, from what I understand I can wash that with the diaps. way easier, though the wool is great too!

Love the pics of your LO! I don't know that I ever get tired of taking and sharing pics of Gabe, I think I put a new one up on FB nearly every day!

My stash is nearly complete! I have more prefolds coming, but I have a bottombumpers cover with 3 or 4 snapin inserts and 2 doublers, a grobaby shell with 3 inserts, a knickernappers shell with 2 of their heavy wetter inserts, 3 microterry inserts I can use with random covers, 2 flip covers, 6 inserts, 3 bummis covers, and a pack of disposable gDiaper inserts.

I think that is enough! it doesn't look like a lot in the basket, but typed out, my goodness! I have a Happy Heinies and one other coming with a 12 prefolds in a few days. CD shopping is just too much fun!

I think he's getting another tooth! I am not enjoying teething/growth spurts. He is growing in length at the moment, b/c his weight has been stable. I've notice he does that, plateaus for a couple weeks, jumps nearly a pound, plateaus, then jumps again. He is waking up more to eat, I've noticed.

I am so glad it is the weekend again

I hear you on the teething, its rough!! Xavians 5th tooth keeps sliding back in and growing over, and having to re-break through

If I could get him to lay still for 5 seconds I would measure him, because he *feels* heavier, but he looks thinner lately, so I think its all in length. He doesnt quite look like a miniature buddha, or a doorstop anymore Man is he heavy though. My moms scale is not realiable, but if I weigh us on that, he is about 26 Ibs.

And I am a picture poster on FB too, I cant help myself

Cooper is crawling like a mad man and cruising on furniture. He plays the drums on everything and sings as often as anyone will listen. He sleeps pretty good and says mama all the time. We have travelled with him for 11 ad 12 hour cars rides and three 5-8 hour car rides since he was born. Next weekend we are going to do his first camp-out. Then in August a trip to the warm beach. I am not missing our usual travel this summer, its nice to stay close to home as much as possible with an 8-9 month old.

Happy summer everybody! It seems like we are all really enjoying our little cuties. What a great time in babyhood!

I've been taking Aries into our pool. She seems to like it. I even bought her a new mommy-and-me raft. Of course, I am very careful, and I always have my hands on her. It is a good way to enjoy the pool as a family, since my son wants to go swimming every single day.

I'm hoping we can go on vacation this year. I haven't been out of town since last September!! And I used to visit my parents once every 1-2 months. It's the longest I've been away from my hometown.

Here are some fun pics....

I thought we could use a bump. Summer has had me way busy and not b/c it's Summer but b/c Luke's sleep schedule has been crazy back and forth. It's so strange but every time we go up to MD to see my family he LOVES sleeping there. He slept for 8 hours straight for the first time when we were there last. Of course I didn't sleep the whole time. It's so sad that even when your LO does sleep a good amount of time you still wake up b/c it's not the norm and it's like you're bodies wondering what's wrong Oh well!

Last night was actually a bad night and I realized this morning that it was the first time in a while that he hadn't had some solids before bed. Has anyone else seen a difference in their LO's sleep when they haven't had some solids during the day? Alright well I gotta run, talk to you all later!
Hmm. DS is only really getting solids 3-4 days a week, and when he does, it is in the late morning/lunch time. His sleep seems about the same, that is to say, he is waking 2x a night to eat usually. The other night he only woke once, it had been a very exhausting day, and DH and I were up several times with upset stomachs. Gabe slept right through all of the restless ness and in and out of bed.

He still isn't cross-crawling. he butt scoots, rotates on his bum, can get into and out of all fours, into a sitting position from his belly. I figure he gets where he wants to go, and that is the main thing. He is pulling up and can stand, aided, pretty well, and we are working on aided walking. Not rushing anything though!

he is saying mama and dada now, and almost said grandaddy (or it sounded like it) the other day. He is becoming way vocal.
