What would the very best look like to you? What are your goals for your children?
Your feelings are totally normal as far as I can see from most hs'ing moms, myself included. But I've been trying really hard lately to listen to the older moms I know who have btdt and it just seems like we put to much pressure on ourselves in this area, maybe because we think we need to perform like the schools do or want to prove ourselves to those who doubt us.
If everything seems overwhelming right now, choose 1 or 2 things that really need to be worked on, and let the rest go. For us that is reading/phonics and basic math. Other than those lessons I just read to the kids or let them listen to audio books. As they progress in their reading and maturity I expect they will be able to pick up other things pretty easily without me sitting with them for every lesson. I would stress basic communication and self-learning skills right now and not worry too much about the other stuff.
Perhaps your older two children could take turns playing the babies while you do short lessons with the other one. The two year old might also be interested in sitting at the table with you with a Kumon workbook or coloring.
