Need help please

Hi mamas,

I have a 2 year old DD who's not vaxed. We could possibly be going to japan for DHs work so I curious are there any diseases that are still common there? Where can I look to find this info. For some reason I feel that I read polio was still common there?? I'm just really thinking that perhaps I need to look into this because I may have to consider a few vaccines???

I don't know about coon diseases in Japan but polio is easy to avoid. Just practice thorough hand washing and avoid contact with feces.

The polio virus lives in the throat and intestinal tract of infected persons. The virus enters the body through the mouth, usually from hands contaminated with the stool of an infected person. Objects, such as eating utensils, can also spread the virus. Food and water are not thought to play a major role in the spread of polio.

Official CDC info on travel to Japan. I would use this as a starting point and then do independent research on anything the CDC recommends. They are totally, insanely, pro-vaccine.
