TMI Fainting after DTD

So for those brave people, I am not sure if this the best place to post this but I have an appointment with my midwife later this week and want some perspective before I go.

Last night after DTD with DH, in a very normal pleasant way, I experienced excruciating lower abdomen pain, right in between my hips and in the general pelvic area. This has happened maybe once or twice before so I wasn't shocked but instead of subsiding in an hour or so it just got worse and worse. So we went outside so I could sit on the deck and get some fresh air.

Dinner was cooking so I went to go check that and I stood up made it 2 steps before I grabbed DH's chair and sunk to the floor in a semi conscious state. DH said my face was white as a ghost and I was barely coherent, just mumbling. He sat me on the deck and grabbed a glass of apple juice (I'm not diabetic but do get shaky from low blood sugar on rare occasions). I drank it and slowly came to. I tried to stand up again and once again almost completely fainted.

He carried me to bed and I ate dinner there and spent the rest of the night in bed with my pelvis throbbing in pain. We were borderline going to the ER twice. I was getting chills and still seeing stars in bed.

Today I am much better although still very sore. It was such a traumatic incident for both of us I called my midwife first thing this morning and made an appointment. From all I have read it could just be a bruised uterus (didn't know that was possible) or cysts or endometriosis(sp) as an extreme. It's been over a year since DD was born so it couldn't be related to that could it? Anyone else experience this crazy thing??

No, I've never experienced that. Sounds scary mama.

I think you did the right thing calling to get an appointment with your midwife as soon as possible. Keep us updated.

The chills and pain make me wonder about infection. Did you check for fever?

I would have gone to the ER. That sounds scary! I would say infection is likely. How possible is it for you to be pregnant?

That happened to me before! Dtd was all good, but when we were done i was in pain and got up to go to the bathroom and passed out in the hallway! When i came to i had chills and was sweating like crazy. Then it just subsited.
Mine seemed to be a bruised cervix. The experience was very damatic for just a bruise though.
