Blot with nail polish remover or vodka. DO NOT RUB. Blot blot blot blot blot...

Unfortunately I know this from an episode of green paint-malfunctioning paint sprayer-white carpet.

I'm god I read this. As of yesterday, I have the same problem in DD's room.

I have a rather large spot on my beige carpet that I have put off treating for fear of ruining it further. I was told shaving cream. I bought some but haven't tried it yet. Anyone have experience with that? I don't have any remover, though it would be easy enough to get some.

I know for a fact that shaving cream can get permanent marker out of clothing. I learned that the day one of my students decided to draw on me.

Also, hair spray.

I have not heard about shaving cream for paint. When I had my fiasco (that sat there under a drop cloth for SIX WEEKS!) I googled the heck out of the issue and kept coming up with nail polish remover or alcohol (preferably vodka for some reason) and it worked. That paint was dry and settled into that carpet.
