Cloth Training Pants: What are my choices?

Hi all,

After using cloth diapers with all 4 of my kids, for the first time I have one who is in need of training pants for outings. I thought I could get away with buying some disposable ones, but I am extremely allergic to fragrances and these things are killing me.

So I am looking into cloth training pants that aren't too bulky but have some degree of waterproofing. I have no idea what is out there. I have found Imse Vimse and Bummis so far but I'm not sure if those are more bulky and diaper-like or if they are thinner than a regular cloth diaper. (In other words, are they basically just an AIO?)

What else should I look at? I've never been a big fan of pocket diapers but I'll consider all my options at this point.

Thanks!!!

The Bummis are very trim, not at all like a cloth diaper. They are very much like a pull up, no snaps or aplix to undo. They are cotton on the inside, with extra layers in the middle for extra absorbency, and the outside is made of the same materials as their covers.

I looked into these when DD was training, but money was tight. I really wanted some IV ones! They looked trim and nice.

The imse vimse are nice, but not really waterproof - like underwear with a bit of extra absorbancy (similar to, I believe, little beetle trainers (so cute!) and hanna trainer undies).

Bummis are a little bulky, so are the happy heiny pocket trainers (though they're great for nighttime).

Starbunz super undies are kinda in-between the others, especially with a trimmer hemp jersey insert in the pocket. They run really trim which is especially nice for petite kids (like my dd tends to be). We used them out sometimes and, early on, for nighttime too. Um, and having looked at these again you might want to check out their learners - they might be like a minimally waterproofed, thicker underwear (haven't used those myself).
